Our Dyson is back to normal operation.
Our Dyson was not working properly. It would switch on and off repeatedly, acting like there was a blockage somewhere. But no blockage could be found. That left the filters as the likely culprit. Visual inspection of the filters didn’t reveal any obvious excessive buildup. This model of Dyson vac would run without the HEPA filters in place. Removing them indicated they were the culprit. I purchased these replacement filters and once installed, our Dyson was back to operational. These filters fit perfectly and seem well made. Very happy with them.

Perfect fit, improved suction and reduced noise
I bought these for my Dyson V7. Even though the conical filter and the main chamber were clean and empty, the motor began pulsing off and on like when it does when something is clogging to pick up tube. I had forgotten that there is an exhaust filter on the back of the motor. It is made in such a way that the filter element cannot be removed for cleaning <grrrr>. The only option is to replace the exhaust filter and molded plastic cap, which is all in one piece.Upon receiving this kit, and replacing the exhaust filter, the unit was transformed to a like new condition. We had gotten used to the gradual increase in noise and didn't realize that the function was suffering so much. Amazing and instant gratification.The only other maintenance I've had to do was to replace the battery. One lesson here is never to put it right back on the charger after running it down. Let the battery cool down before putting it on charge and it will last a lot longer.
