Cloth Bar Tape, Red

Look forward to breaking these puppies in! Finished in shellac, I attempted to go full old school.

I had some old cork tape that was starting to come off. I wrapped OVER the cork with this stuff, real tight, almost pressurized, it has a real nice feel to it.

I don't like the fact there's only enough tape to do one side of the bicycle handle bars. Two rolls of tape need to be ordered.

Good stuff but need two rolls to both sides of bars.

Two rolls of this worked very nicely to cover one road bike's handlebars, with not a lot to spare. Adhesive strip on the back, which I didn't expect. Once down, I coated it twice with amber shellac. The result darkened the red a lot for a very dark, classy result -- like what I imagine you'd find on the steering wheel of a classic Jaguar, or perhaps something out of the Wright Brother's original bike shop. (Next time I might try the clear shellac.)

Great colors, great Old School style, on the cheap.Gets dirty and needs replacing once a year or so, which is fine with me.
