Revant Replacement Lenses for Oakley Whisker

There are people who reviewed on Amazon that these lenses don't fit. I can only assume those individuals have knock-off Oakley's because these lenses fit PERFECTLY. I mean PERFECTLY. They take about 30-45 seconds per side to install with the handy little screwdriver they give you. I cut high-end sunglass lenses (polycarbonate and gold coatings) for two months in college and most sunglass manufacturers use really cheap lenses, BTW. For example, Porsche uses a material called CR39, which is optically terrible. It's too early to say how these compare optically to Oakley's. The polarization seems adequate (but not as intense as my Armani's)— I went for the uncoated black lenses. Considering the overall very poor design on the Whisker sunglasses themselves (the tips of the arms scratch the lenses when they fold up; what idiot thought that up?) you should really look a better pair of sunglasses but if you just use Whisker's for travel or for a pair of sunglasses you don't really care about, these inexpensive replacement lenses by Revant fit the bill. Especially since Oakley has discontinued their very overprices replacement lenses.

These fit my Oakley's pretty well and the reflective gold color looks good. Can not say the same about the Maui Jim lens replacements. Had to return those.

Amazon shouldn't allow these to be sold on here. These lenses do not fit the Oakley "Whisker" frame at all. There are noticeable gaps in the frame. Save your money and frustration and just purchase official OEM lenses. That's what I ended up doing and they fit perfectly.

EDIT: After about a year of using these replacement lenses, I like them less and less. Read the original review below for details on why I'm not a huge fan, and it's mostly down to a blue-ish tint that the black lenses have. I bought another pair of genuine Oakley glasses (different style) at the same time I bought these lenses and the genuine Oakleys absolutely destroy the Revant in terms of quality, clarity, and color. For the price, they're not bad, but if you rely on sunglasses like I do you'll want something better quality than what the Revant offers. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The original lenses in my Oakley Whiskers have seen better days. The coating on the inside of the glasses had started flaking off. They still looked fine when looking through them, but I figured the coating was there for a reason, and if it was coming off they probably weren't filtering something the same way they originally were. I picked up these Revant lenses since Oakley no longer makes OEM lenses for the whisker. I went with the black polarized lens so it looked exactly like the original lenses. The Revant lenses are decent. They are thinner than the Oakley lenses, but they went into the frames just fine. I was surprised that these lenses included a glasses bag and a screwdriver to unscrew the frame from the bridge. Bonus points there. The lenses seem fine when wearing the glasses; and they are definitely polarized (My verification test is looking at a polarized LCD screen at an angle and watching the picture go black). My only complaint is that the tint is noticeably "cooler" (color temperature) than the Oakley lenses. I can tell that there's a very slight blue cast to the tint. It makes me feel like somebody turned the color temperature down a few hundred degrees while editing a digital photograph. Overall, it's good for the money, but they're not as nice as OEM lenses.

I bought a vintage pair of Oakley frames and needed some lenses to begin to build these out. Revant lenses are great and I now wear my vintage Oakley Whiskers on the daily!

When the film on my 8 year old pair of Oakley Whiskers started bubbling, I visited probably a dozen sunglass and eyeglass shops over the course of several months, to no avail. I tried Oakley official stores and then was shocked to hear the model had been discontinued. I have a small face and normal sunglasses are just to darn big. I kept wearing my hoopty Whiskers until the lenses were so bubbly and scratched that they impaired vision. I started looking for replacement pairs on EBay and other sites but old Oakley Whiskers were selling for more than what I originally paid. Out of desperation I did a search for replacement lenses, which brought me here! There are quite a few companies selling Whisker lenses so I did a lot of comparison shopping, asked a lot of questions. I choose well. These lenses are crystal clear, even clearer than the original Oakley lenses. They match perfectly and I was able to install them in less than 10 minutes (I watched a YouTube video for guidance). The hardest part was not losing the tiny screws! I was even more pleasantly surprised that these lenses came with the required screwdriver. I also upgraded the ear socks which you can find on amazon for cheap. So for less than $40 I have revived my Whiskers for a few more years at least!

Items look amazing and appear to be high quality and the return process is very easy, but the lenses do not fit the Whisker Oakley Glasses that I own. They aren't even close. There are no other options other than the Whisker glasses to select, so if there are distinct model numbers involved the provided description is bereft of clarification.

Looking for replacement of scratched lenses on my Oakley Whisker none seemed to be available from Oakley so I opted for these. Delivery was pretty quick. Fitting is straightforward and they're well packaged with instructions and including a screwdriver. A cloth sunglasses case is also provided which was good as my original was pretty tired. Good product, don't notice any distortions.

As good as the original Oakley lenses. Will definitely buy again when required.

A lot easier to fit than I expected. My Whisker frames were revealed as very bent when I undid the screws, so I was impressed with how good the fit was.
