When used in applications when there is 1" of airspace and air flow, Thermaflect Cloth is capable of reflecting 90 percent of radiant heat. Face the aluminized side toward the source of radiant heat to shield heat away. This product withstands 1100F of radiant heat (requires minimum of 1" of airspace) and up to 450 degree F of direct heat. Thermaflect Cloth is available with a high temperature peel and stick adhesive that will stick to any clean surface. Bulk heat shield cloth rolls available.

Not as expected
The picture looks as if it is a roll, but it came in a package that was square and folded. I wanted this to put on my refrigerator to shield the heat from the stove. With it being folded, it has creases that will not adhere to the refrigerator nor will it look good. If you have it in the rolls it would be much nicer. Please look into this for me.

Great job
The kitchen setup with the stove right next to the fridge concerned us but this cloth seems to be doing what it claims and keeping the oven from overheating the fridge. I would have preferred white to match the fridge but most of its hidden anyway.

cheap and damaged upon arrival
VERY POOR QUALITY and horrible folded packaging led to creases which would not come out.

More effective than I expected.
I've only had the heat shield in place for a few weeks, but have already noticed that the outward 'bow' that head had caused on the side of the refrigerator has drawn back a bit. It seems that it's more effective than I thought it would be.

Wanted this to protect the side of a refrigerator which is next to a stove. Not sure it will work because there are warnings on the product about proximity to an open flame.

size matters. Smaller than description
Does not match description exactly. SIte says 26 x 24. What I received is 24 x 24 and the packaging has this size.Only 2 inches, (insert pun here)....not ideal for what I needed.

Great way to keep you AC cool and away from exhaust heat
Expensive stuff but does the trick. My exhaust headers were really close to the AC line. This keeps most of the heat off.

Great flexible heat shield
I've used this to wrap intake pipes on my V8 RV. There's little space left in the engine bay and the heat soak is terrible! I wrapped both of my aluminum pipes and the outside of the heat shield and my intake temperatures have dropped due to less heat transferring into the piping! Definitely recommend!
