Hercules WEBCAM DELUXE

I am very pleased with my Hercules Webcam Deluxe. It amazed me that for such a low price it has so many features. I am still playing with the Funhouse and I think most people would be amused with it. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wanted a reasonably priced webcam and didn't expect a top quality picture. If you do you should expect to pay very much more for it.

Not only did I look extensively on the web for all kinds of webcams, I have used others both at home and at work. I found Hercules to have the best potential pixel range, along with its 4-LED lights and mic. I'm a happy camper with this webcam. I haven't had a problem and it was easy to install. The pricing at the time was reasonable too. You get what you pay for...pay cheap and you get cheap. But Hercules was not an expensive webcam. Since I send a lot of video emails, I recommend it to all my friends.

Having read the reviews on this I purchased one. I cannot get this to install on my laptop. I have tried everything and can't get it to connect. Contacted the support bods who gave me instructions and when they didn't fix the code 10 error they gave up and told me the problem must be local to my PC. Stuck with a webcam that wont instal.

Die Kamera hält was sie verspricht. Die Bildqualität ist gut auch bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen. Die Kamera besitzt zwar vier LEDs die man manuell mit einem Rad dimmen und ausschalten kann, allerdings bringen sie wirklich nur dann etwas wenn es sonst wirklich dunkel ist. Dann sind sie allerdings recht nützlich. Möglich sind 640x480 Pixel.Die Mitgelieferte Softwarepacket ermöglicht das Erstellen und Bearbeiten von Videos und Bildern und macht einen guten Eindruck. Einziges Manko ist, dass eines der Programme die eigene Kamera bei mir nicht erkennt. Aber das ist nicht weiter schlimm, da eines der anderen mitgelieferten Programme das gleich und noch viel mehr kann. Aus diesem Grund ziehe ich keinen Stern ab.Im übrigen war ich sehr überrascht wie klein die Cam ist. Auf den Bilder sah sie größer aus.Ich kann die Webcam also mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Nutze die Kamera seit einer Woche und bin bisher sehr zufrieden mit dem Gerät und der mitgelieferten Software. In Skype und MSN Messenger ließ sich die Kamera problemlos integrieren. Die vier stufenlos regulierbaren LEDs sorgen auch im Dunkeln für Erleuchtung, erhellen aber auch bei maximaler Helligkeit das Bild nur geringfügig (und die Lampen sind wirklich sehr hell). Ein integriertes Mikrofon, das wunderbar funktioniert, runden die Kamera ab.Punktabzug gebe ich für die fehlerhafte Beschreibung des Produktes durch amazon. Wie schon in anderen Rezensionen beschrieben schafft die Kamera 1280x960 Fotoauflösung und 640x480 Videoauflösung (NICHT wie in den technischen Daten angegeben 1280x960 Standbild und Video). Infrarotsensor ist auch Unsinn: so eine Angabe findet sich auf der Herstellerverpackung NICHT. Stattdessen muss man die LEDs zwar bequem aber per Hand auf die Helligkeit justieren, die man haben will. Alles in allem eine traurige Leistung von amazon.

Mit der Kamera und Micro bin ich eigentlich zufrieden. Jedoch muss bei jedem Start der Treiber neu installiert werden, da die Kamera nicht erkannt wird. Dies nervt und ist lästig. Deshalb kann ich für diese Kamera keine Kaufempfehlung geben. Die beiden Sterne wegen dem offensichtlich guten Micro und Bild.
