Great for baking pound cakes!
This pan makes baking angel food cake so much easier. The aluminum heats evenly, so the cake rises beautifully without over-browning, and the nonstick surface makes cleanup simple. The removable bottom is a big help when it’s time to release the cake—it slides out cleanly without tearing the delicate texture. It feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy like some cheaper pans, and it holds up well after multiple uses. Perfect for angel food, chiffon cakes, or even other light desserts. If you want bakery-style results at home, this pan delivers.

I Love this baking pan. I made a mile high pound cake the next day and it turned out beautiful. and my cake came out of the pan with no problem of sticking to the pan, it was a little expensive but to me worth the price so if you love to bake cakes or pound cakes you will love this one❤️❤️☕️🥛🍴 plus it s a Nordic ware they are the best❤️

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG? At last... non-stick perfection!
My 25+ year old aluminum bundt pan lost it's non-stick resilience and my traditional lightweight two-piece angel food pan was becoming quite a chore to grease/flour - with the added risk of leakage, hence my search for pans to replace one -or- both of them. This NORDIC WARE POUND CAKE PAN is the PERFECT ONE to serve both purposes! The size is tremendous at 18+ cup capacity. It accommodates a 1.5 batch Jewish Apple Cake and bakes it to perfection without a dripping mess of batter cascading over and down the sides! And when time to remove the cake from the pan, I need not have fretted, for the beautifully browned cake slid right from the pan without issue. (And the pan was a breeze to clean, too.) I get compliments all of the time on the appearance of my cakes, especially my sister who always exclaims, "How do you get your cakes to rise to such great heights?". (NOTE: I usually increase my cake recipes to 1.5 to accommodate big appetites and/or more guests. I guess it makes it visually appealing as well.)The weight of the pan IS substantial (mid weight), but no where near the weight of cast iron pans. It's certainly not too heavy for this 50+ year old to wield, especially in light of the wonderful culinary results obtained. The only caveat of this pan for me has been the discovery that this pan is about 1/4 inch taller than my old angel food pan, thus requiring me to do some "rearranging" within the cabinets, however the trade off is negligible -- plus I gained horizontal space as I now use this NORDIC WARE pan for both bundt and angel food cakes. Gee, I never thought I'd LOVE a cake pan... but THIS ONE's the bomb!Aug 2023 UPDATE: This pan is STILL going strong 7 years later. I am so enamored with it, I've purchased additional ones as gifts -AND- I even purchased a new NORDIC WARE MINI POPOVER PAN this year to replace one that lost its function. WOW... it, too is a DREAM to bake with. BOTH are quality baking products! Wish I had discovered NORDIC WARE sooner.

Great cake pan!
I already have a Nordic Ware Bundt pan, which I love. I bought this as I wanted to make cakes in a tube pan. I've used it and I love it. I made a Louisiana Crunch Cake and it released out from the pan easily with no sticking at all. I did use a non-stick baking spay before putting in the batter. I was worried about sticking, because the cake has crushed pecans, brown sugar and coconut flakes. But I was pleasantly surprised ... the cake came out so good; good color and shape; baked very evenly. The pan has a good weight to it, but still light enough to handle. It seems very well made and durable.

Great pan and worth every penny!
This is an incredible pan. The cake releases without sticking and the pan cleans up easily. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

The perfect one piece tube pan that makes more than angel food cakes
I had a recipe too big for my Bundt pans that couldn't be baked in my two-piece angel food pan. I kept the recipe handy and when the fruit in the recipe finally was in season, I ordered the pan. I roasted strawberries, baked the cake, glazed it, presented it for the church potluck, sent home leftovers, and left it there to be served at two Bible classes and Tuesday quilting. Enough was gone that it was safe to bring home. For a small household, there are so many servings in a big, hearty pound cake that creatively planned consumption is a must! When baking spray (oil and flour pan spray) is applied and brushed thoroughly on all inner surfaces of the pan, the cake slides right out. (Always read the recipe instructions carefully, though. Following instructions ais always important for success.)With a great pan like this Nordic Ware Angel Food Cake Pan, a good recipe, and a baker who takes the time to do every step as instructed, the cake should be a complete success.

Inside finish rough
The inside finish had a defective area, it feels rough like there are tiny bits of metal shavings under the coating. Because of this I feel like it won’t last as long and once the coating breaks down at all it needs to be thrown out - so that’s disappointing. Otherwise it feels hefty enough and performed as expected (greased and floured per recipe and pan instructions). Oven safe to 400 Fahrenheit. The outside of this pan is dark so reduce your oven temp accordingly. I would buy it again, hopefully the finish was a fluke. I didn’t check the other reviews to see if it’s a known issue. Nordic are usually well made so I was surprised this wasn’t great.

Well made pan.
Great pan! Heavy duty. Cooks up an angel food cake well. Ny cake fell out easily. No leakage with this pan. It's all one construction. Easy to clean. Great value. I would buy again. But then, I would need to do so. Absolutely well made.
