Writing Assessment and Instruction for Students with Learning Disabilities

Useful Resource
This is a wonderful text for breaking down the components of writing for a new educator. It helps a new teacher to learn how to assess a student’s writing ability and then set manageable writing goals. I’d highly recommend it for someone looking to improve their practice as a writing instructor.

Just what I need
When I saw the name, Nancy Mather, I knew this would be good. Written expression is usually the most difficult skill for the student with learning disabilities to develop. I am certain this book will help me help my students.

what is best practice. Some good overview
Not very helpful or in-depth. Refers to what is common vs. what is best practice. Some good overview, but not as detailed or well documented as other resources.

Literacy and school-age children
This book is a great resource for SLP's working in the schools, dealing with reading and literacy and how written language ties into oral language. Very helpful book!
