Idk if I'd say it's true to size bc I've worn hats all my life and the size I ordered was a little bigger than others I've purchased. It is a heavy hat with a sweat patch in the front but not a band all the way around which I feel would have made it a perfect fit. I wore this for 5 days in 90 degree Oklahoma blazing Sun and it didn't get uncomfortable other than the wet leather on skin feel. I believe the band to be secured by adhesive and the brim is wired so it keeps its shape. Overall a good hat for the money.

For the price I paid, I had expected the decorative bit in the front to be centered, but it isn't. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't very noticeable, but the hat is made of quality materials and fits great!

I have been coveting this style of hat for years, then the brand I was following went obsolete, so I found Walker & Hayes and wish I had found them sooner! I wear this hat to protect my eyes in the sun or keep the rain off me or to just look savvy. I’ve had many compliments on it and absolutely recommend it!! Plus, the material is durable!

I took this to Burning Man. It was awesome! perfect fit, and strap kept it on during wind, or could tuck inside hat when not windy. Loved the wire rim, which allowed me to shape it anyway I wanted.

The hat arrived in a box that was slightly damaged. The hat however survived with a little reshaping, which was easy to do, and I love it. The fit is correct and the quality of leather is very good.

I’ve never bought a hat without first trying it on. Thankfully, the quality is fine (if the other reviews said it wasn’t, I don’t think I’d have bothered). Slightly heavy due to the nature of the material but comfortable.A big advantage of this sort of hat is, of course, it protects your ears. In my work as an Audiologist, I see a lot of sun damaged ears… the brim is good on this hat!

A bit tight fitting at first but after wear it is very comfy. Keeps the sun out of eyes well and doesn’t blow off in wind. Also feels as will take the knocks of being outside

I was really impressed by the manufacturing quality — it’s a neatly made hat. The leather is stiffer than I expected so it will certainly keep its shape. Excellent shelter from both sun and rain.
