Ended up sending this back as it seemd like it was not of good quality.. maybe for an RV or something but was planning to use in a basement new shower just installed and well was not comfortable with how cheap it felt. Just sent it back and went a different route.

Replacement drain for freestanding tub. 🛀Worked well, just had to be careful not tighten too much or to set the tub down until we were sure it was turned right so it wouldn’t press on it. It was pretty easy to install

This is great for free-standing soaking tubs where you can't get to the plumbing under the tub during installation. The tub I installed had installation instructions that didn't make sense during that phase of the installation - it involved positioning the p-trap and riser (EXACTLY) under the drain, installing the drain in the tub and then lifting the tub over and into the p-trap riser. With no way of tightening the collar on the connection, it wouldn't be watertight. This product solved that with no need to plumb a p-trap under the tub since it incorporates it's own trap. Easy to install with the tub resting on a couple 4x4's so you can get your arms under it and tighten everything up. I've never had a problem with compression connections and they didn't leak. The flex hose on this could have been longer to accommodate replacing a conventional left or right drain tub.

This is the second low profile ptrap I ordered from Amazon. The first was made from incredibly thin material that made it look like a kinder egg toy. This one is much more durable and solved my problem for a zero space install of a stand alone tub.

This P-trap works perfectly in my RV since I changed out the tub for a drain pan.

Very thin, got me out a jam for now.
