False alarm?
A smoke alarm with a 10-year lifespan seemed like a good idea. Sadly, after just six weeks in use this one decided to keep sounding its alarm, as though it had detected smoke. There is no smoke - it's even in a space with an air purifier that's reporting very low particulates. Turned it off, left it fresh air for a day and turned it on again. It's immediately sounding the alarm again.OK, no problem, I'll use Amazon's excellent returns process. Oh dear, the item isn't eligible for return due to it containing hazardous materials. And I can't request a refund unless I have already requested a return, which I am not allowed to do.Something not right here, Amazon. Let's hope the marketplace seller is able to help.EDIT: Follow-up to the story is that the seller advised cleaning the unit with an air blower or vacuum cleaner. This did the trick, and it's not gone off again, at least for the subsequent few months.

Battery died after a month, perhaps a fault but unacceptable after such a short period of time.
I purchased 3 of these smoke alarms and installed one of these in the kitchen, the battery has already died in this device which is very unexpected after such a short period of time. In my opinion, this makes this product not fit for purpose and faulty.

Smoke alarm
I have had to reorder & pay for this alarm again as the 10 year one I purchased 2023 has stopped working! I have tried to discuss this, but need to be reassured that my home is protected, so despite the frustration I had no option, as I’ve not had a reply from Kiddie?
