Great V60!
Can’t go wrong with a Harrio! Even though it’s made of plastic, you can tell that it is quality made! Simple yet makes great coffee! Plus, I like the idea of making a single cup of coffee in the coffee cup instead of having to decant it.

Portable and Practical
Size 02 is exactly the size for my usage: big enough to put over a small carafe to make coffee for two, small enough opening to go over my 3 c. thermos, still works to make a single cup in the afternoon or for dessert, and wide enough for my jumbo 18 oz workday morning cup. It is the happy medium. This isn't my first pourover: my first is a reusable mesh, which took a little upkeep to keep the pores clear but was easy enough to clean out with a garbage disposal. But getting to clean it out was a pain on deployment, having to find somewhere to dump the grounds and so on and so on. I went to the bother of lugging a kettle with me all around the world, because I owned the electrical gear so even if the cooks couldn't heat water, I happened to be able to plug an electric kettle in. I switched to a camping french press, because that was easier to pack and move if it was still dirty. On my next deployment, one of the other guys brought his Hario, and then I saw him pitch the highly biodegradable paper and grounds, and I realized using the paper wasn't going to be the end of the Amazon rainforest. This brews faster. It's more consistent. The plastic can get scratched, unlike the glass, but if it should ever break, I won't have glass all in my clothes. A lot of the world separates compost (including now parts of the US), so clean up is easy. Did you know roaches and ants don't like coffee grounds? Fringe benefits! And you don't have to buy the Hario brand filters! Just buy the #4 cone from your favorite brand and fold the corner to make a sharp point. Make sure, if you fold it near the crimp, that you don't rip a hole by mistake, and boom, you're in business. If you leave it flattened, it will rip. With folding, I've had a few grounds all of twice in the last few years, between the other guy's Hario and when I bought this one.Love this product! It's the only thing I use now.

Best coffee ever
I'm the only coffee drinker in my family. This thing is perfect. No waste. Cheap. Takes up very little space. Makes great coffee. It takes a little longer than using a machine, but the coffee is better and it comes out hotter than any coffee maker I've ever owned. Sometimes simpler is better.

Love the coffee from my v60!
I use this coffee maker every single day, and it has transformed my morning routine. It offers fantastic control over my coffee brewing process, ensuring a reliable and consistent cup every morning, regardless of the type of beans I use.I particularly appreciate the plastic version. It’s incredibly affordable and durable, lasting a long time without any issues. I’m super happy with this product for my daily pour-over coffee. It’s a must-have for any coffee enthusiast looking for quality and consistency on a budget.

Simple and effective
I would recommend combining this with an electric kettle, if you don't already own one. I found one on sale at Target for $12, and these two pieces, combined, are the best $20 coffee maker you can buy. (I still use this setup many days when I don't want to bother with the $800 espresso machine my husband bought us for Christmas.)You can watch a lot of videos about the proper way to make pour over coffee. You should probably watch one or two. I don't think it's necessary to stress about all the details. Most of the importance is being a little bit slow about everything. One thing I took away from the videos I watched is that the first pour of water on the grounds should be just enough to get them all wet. Something about "opening them up." Imagine loose leaf tea leaves opening up in hot water, except you can't really see it, because coffee grounds are too small. I give them a moment on this step, usually just long enough to throw a ball down the hall for my cat a couple times. Then all the pros pour water slowly, in spirals. I base whether my spirals are starting from the outside or the inside on where the most coffee is piled up at this point, thinking about herding it away from where it is, towards where it isn't, either outside or center. I usually use 1.5 scoops of coffee (from the scoop included with the cone) for a 16 oz mug, and it fills up in about two slow pours to about 3/4 inch from the top of the cone. There are more advanced techniques out there, if you care to learn them, but, without too much stress over the details, I get in a little morning meditation on the life of coffee beans (bonus meditation if you add milk and watch it slowly swirl around), a really good cup of coffee, and my cat shows up whenever I start the electric kettle, so it's sort of fun for the whole family.Cleanup couldn't be easier. Give the filter full of grounds a little squeeze against the side of the cone, throw it out, rinse the cone, and it's ready for the next day.

High quality, precision brewing
The v60 is an excellent method to brew coffee. The quality of the product is good. I ordered the plastic, but it's a nice, heavy plastic and not flimsy at all.As far as use, the v60 has potential to produce a really outstanding cup of coffee. A strength and weakness (depending on your perspective) is that the quality of your coffee really shows when using this method of brewing. If you use good quality coffee, you'll taste it. If you use poor quality coffee, you can't hide it. It also requires some technique for a proper extraction. Youtube it the first time you use it.It also takes proprietary filters. Not a huge deal, but a potential downside for some.I definitely suggest this product and the price point is very reasonable. Just keep in mind the quality of coffee you use and the filters. 4 stars for the filters.
