This brand is GREAT for "problem cats"!
I just bought this in a spray, because I'll be driving my cats across the country in my van, from California to Ohio- and my cats aren't used to traveling. Who knows what they will do- but the plug-in version worked so well, I had to have something for the van. I have a boy cat who used to be bullied mercilessly by another of my cats years ago, and as a result, he got into the nervous habit of "spraying", or "marking" certain areas, I guess due to stress. He's fixed, but that doesn't help. He hasn't done it much since the other kitty died, but cats hate chaos and messiness, and right now I'm in the middle of moving, so I was worried. I've been using the plug-in for a month. It makes all 3 kitties so calm & relaxed when they are in the boxed chaos that used to be our living room! No spraying on anything the entire month! I will want to have one in every room they are allowed in after I move! I wish they made a USB or lighter-socket version for vehicles! The scent is something only felines can smell (unlike the pee Will Feral used to spray... that's him in the white box next to the plug-in- he was sleeping peacefully but as I took the pic, he was getting up for a pet!I wish I'd have known about this stuff years ago! I see they have calming treats too, so that will be my next order. My daughter says they work!

This product makes it easy to travel with our beloved furry friends.
We have used Feliway spray when traveling by car for 3 cats on a 2,000 mile trip and back again. If it is sprayed liberally (more than the directions state) in the carrier and on the bedding and given time to dry, even the most vocal of cats will be relaxed and calm. The first time we used it, one of our cats took about 40 minutes to calm down as he "talks" the most, but the other 2 cats didn't make a sound from the very beginning. However, I found if I spray a little extra in his carrier and wait about 20 minutes and give it another light spray, allow to dry and put him in, he too becomes calm and quiet. All 3 cats remained calm and quiet for 10-12 hours at a time in the car. When traveling, we feed them wet food early in the evening on arrival to the hotel. When they've finished the wet food, we leave only dry food and water through the night. We take the dry food and water up in the morning and spray the carriers at that time so they have time to dry. We give the cats a final chance to use the liter box if needed, while we have breakfast. When we return from breakfast, we put them in the carrier (which has already been sprayed with Feliway and allowed to dry) and load them in the car. They do not eat or use the liter box while traveling in the car and remain in their carriers the entire time. They have no issues and as mentioned, remain calm and quiet for 10 or more hours while we are driving. I do use the Feliway diffuser when in hotel rooms. And because it takes a while for the diffuser to work, the cats are not as calm in strange hotel rooms. Without the spray product, travel with our beloved furry friends would be much more difficult, if not impossible.

Great product, costly
Great, effective product. Just had many less uses than it says if I use the number of sprays directed per use.Feliway does really outperform other lesser expensive brands in my experience, having tried 2 others on Amazon. Will have on hand for vet visits and when company comes over but the cost is not sustainable to use more regularly than that, especially with a couple feliway plug refills monthly also.

USED
I only need to use this is when I take my furbabies to get their shots. It does well at keeping them relaxed on such a nervous day.Unfortunately I should have opened it when i received it. My fault for not checking that It's a USED bottle. !

Works for us - all cats are different.
This spray uses the analog for the Feline Facial Pheromone, Type 3 - which cats use to mark furniture and other inanimate objects in their environment. It helps them to create a "map" of safe zones and places where they can relax. The spray version is a higher concentration than in the wall diffuser (same pheromone used in Feliway Classic Diffuser), but wears off quickly. We use it for spraying carriers for vet visits, as well as introducing new cat furniture and toys. It got a lot of use recently as we adopted a new cat and wanted to make the room we used for her initial quarantine as inviting as possible. The downside - the pheromones also attracted our older resident kitty who was obsessed with trying to get in the room to hang on the cat tower laced with the spray.

⚠️Caused Severe Allergic Reaction in HUMAN⚠️
As recommended by my veterinarian, I purchased the Feliway for my cat to calm him during an 18 hour car ride. I sprayed one spray into his carrier 1 hour prior to leaving on our trip. The instructions read that it wears off in 5 hours. We began our trip without incident. We were about 12 hours into our trip when it was my turn to get our cat out of his carrier and offer him food, water and his litter box. I had him out for about 15 minutes holding and petting him. I felt a little weird but just thought I was tired from the drive. I put him back into his carrier and we got back on the road. Thankfully, I was not driving at the time. Ten minutes later my tongue and lips began to tingle and swell, my throat felt as if it were narrowing, I began to cough like I had just inhaled some hay particles and was randomly nodding off. If it would have gotten any worse I would have had to find the nearest ER. These symptoms ever so slowly subsided but in all, lasted 8 hours! The description, packaging, insert and bottle all read that the product does not effect humans. I am 100 percent sure this is what caused my reaction as I am 34 years old with no record of allergies and I couldn't pet my cat for a week without having a reaction, more mild than the first exposure. He was given a thorough bath and his carrier scrubbed. I haven't had an issue since.

cat calming spray tip
my go-to for traveling and vet visits! I also work with cats and this is a must for anxious kitties. Helpful tip: after spraying (recommended 8 sprays), wait 15 minutes before introducing a cat, as it can actually cause stress if the smell is too strong! 🐱
