Color:Natural 5.5 In This stunning RoRo cereal or soup bowl is made from partially hollowing out a single cross-section of eco-friendly sustainable orchard wood. Each bowl is unique and has been hand-carved by a master artisan in the northern region of Thailand. We worked with a small, family run workshop, to develop a product that is refreshingly natural. The item is carved, dried (to prevent shrinkage), sanded, and coated with a water-based food-safe laquer so you can eat on it for years to come. Stun your guests or family with an exotic natural bowl! Please hand-wash and "drip dry" only. Do not submerge in water for extended periods

This bowl is not waterproof
These bowls are really beautiful, but I don't know why they were advertised as cereal bowls unless you don't plan to put milk on your cereal. It doesn't take very long for the liquid to soak through the bottom. When the description said not to submerge in water, I took that to believe that the outside was not treated with a sealer but the inside was.

Bought as an Xmas gift
Bought this as an Xmas gift for my fiend to use as a candy dish. I was very pleased with the size and quality and it looks awesome on a table filled with his favorite candies. Thinking of purchasing my self one as well.

I am a fan of natural wood products. These are pretty large and hefty. Make sure you have the shelf space for them. They are beautiful.
