DOES THE JOB—PLUS!
I bought a 35 year old house and nothing had been done in all that time to stop the build up of deposits in the pipes. At first I was skeptical, but I noticed the other day that I’m getting more suds in the shower and in the laundry now, and I bought a new coffee maker and there’re no deposits in there either.Update June 22, 2019 I bought this August 2018 so it hasn’t even been a year, and I thought it’d take much, much longer until I saw any real results—I was wrong! Besides getting more suds in the shower, and laundry my hair is smoother. Until lately I’ve had to use bar soap in order to get the right amount of lather—no more. I’ve been very happily surprised by the lather I get from my liquid soap.Last year I had to get a new water heater and I was concerned about how long it’d last because of the hard water, but I’ve had the water tested and so far so good! Also, the shower is much easier to clean now because there are a minimum of deposits on the walls. I had to have a plumber install this and it was expensive, but well worth it!Update, July 2019–it’s been nearly a year and things keep getting better, so don’t listen to the reviews who and said it does nothing because maybe they haven’t waited long enough. I’m getting hot water sooner now which means the deposits are going away. The hot water tank is right across the hall from the bathroom, but I still used to have to wait and wait. I don’t anymore. It’s not immediate, but it’s only a few minutes now and it used to take much longer. I just can’t say enough good things about this—I’m so pleased with this and hope it lasts a long time.

Manufacturer will not Warrantee
Very sad! It’s supposed to carry a 3-year warranty, but the warranty is voided if not purchased directly from the manufacturer (Scale Blaster). Scale Blaster manufacturer will not warranty the device. I bought this SB-75 Scale blaster on Amazon, for $197. I had it installed and then I registered the warranty online. A few days later I received an email saying that the scale blaster I bought and installed will not be warrantied. The email instructed me to called the (800) number listed on the email for more information. I called, and there, I was told that because the SB-75 Scale Blaster was not purchased directly from the manufacturer, Scale Blaster will not warranty it. Amazon, I conducted much research before purchasing this water de-scaler, and now that it’s installed, I find out I did not get what I thought I was buying. I’m so disappointed. My return window has closed, and nevertheless, it was very difficult to install in the crawl space location it’s required to be installed for optimum performance. I paid $200 to have a plumber install it. I basically have given $400 away, in return for nothing. Amazon needs to highlight on this warranty issue. On the other hand, I wonder if it’s even legal for a company to deny warranty on the basis that the item has to be purchased directly from the manufacturer.

Hard to tell that it is working but can't say for sure that it isn't
Well, folks. I have this thing running since the first week of January of 2019. Install was easy though you must be patient. I installed it on the basement ceiling so my hand was tiring and my neck was hurt. Be prepared to have some type to help hold the wiring in place while you take a break. I used painter tape. It has been a little over two months, too early to really give a good review. As far as my showers, sinks on the 2nd floor, I see no changes in pressure, however, my kitchen sink which is closet to the Scale Blaster in the basement has much less white spot on or around the sink after drying. I see no white spot on the pull-out faucet. My electric kettle usually had a ring of hard calcium deposit on the edge of the mouth and I have to clean it once a month but now, the ring is still there but much thinner, softer and I can wipe it down with a paper towel. I will come back next year to update this review to see if my showers and sinks on the 2nd floor improve or not. For now, I am giving it 5 stars.

This Scaleblaster is either stolen or counterfeit
I attempted to register this scaleblaster at the manufacturer's website. I received a phonecall from the manufacturer telling me that serial number on the scaleblaster did not exist. The agent also told me that this is happening with a lot of online sellers. This i s important to know because if you have a problem with your scaleblaster there is no warranty for products with false serial numbers.

SCALE BLASTER 75 THE CALCIUM KILLER!!!
SCALE BLASTER 75:I think a person can only give an accurate item review on this item after owning it and using it for quite some time...In my case I can simply say that our water is very hard where I live. We typically go through an electric water heater about every 7 years. We have never had one go past 7 years due to failure from calcium buildup.I purchased the Scale blaster 75 about 5 years ago when our current water heater was about 5 years old at that time. In May of 2020 that water heater will be 10 years old. Im still getting scalding hot water from the tank which lets me know there isn't much, if any, calcium build up on the heating element. Hard water isn't noticeable around the faucets or shower doors either like before the Scale blaster 75 was installed. Installation by the way is a piece of cake..In short, if it failed today I would surely buy another one and quick at that!! Great product if your looking to blast that calcium!!
