I've Had Them for 10 Months...
I purchased these in January, 2018 so I figured enough time has passed and I've used them enough that I can give an accurate review on my experience with them. In a nutshell, I love them and think they are great headphones. I use them plugged directly into my computer for video editing, plugged into my Blue Yeti microphone for live streaming on YouTube and plugged into my iPhone for listening to music, movies and talking on the phone utilizing the built in microphone. They are generally used somehow almost every day. They look and work exactly like they did the day they arrived. I don't store them in the case that came with them, usually they are just laying on my desk when not in use. Appearance wise, they have held up beautifully and look almost exactly like they did out of the box. I really do love the sound quality. I wouldn't say it is perfect but I knew that when I purchased them but it is much better than my Apple earbuds or any other brand of headphones that I have used. I do have to note here that I've never used Bose so I can't make that comparison. The cord has held up just fine but I'm always aware of where it is and try to make sure that it doesn't get pulled or yanked, although it has happened a few times. All in all, for the price, I do believe that these are a quality headphone and if you take care of them, are well worth the money.

I love my Beats solo 2
Finally, I own a Beats headphone. It wasn't easy. I don't like to wear what most people are wearing. For more than 4 years, I was tempted to buy one; I didn't bite, mostly because of no so good reviews for well regarded audiophiles. When the Beat solo 2 came out, I heard those same audiophiles saying words like "excellent", "Outstanding" and "thank you Dr. Dre for giving us the sound as the artist intended". So I went to the Apple store to try one and listened to them for 45 minutes...then I said to myself, I have to get me one of these! The thing that impress me the most was...the bass! A great bass, for me, is the foundation of any headphone, and in the solo 2 case, the bass is strong, pure, and tight. But the bass does not cover the mids or the highs. The voices are clear. I would say the sound is warm and sometimes thick, but enjoyable. Also, the beat solo 2 is one the most good looking headphones on the market. The material is stronger than the previous solo HD. The hinges on the headband on the solo 2 are made out metal; not plastic like the solo hd. Therefore is more durable. The earpads are comfortable. There is a clamping force though, but not too much, and I think the more one wears them the less one may feel the pressure on the ear. One thing I would have liked for Dr. Dre to include was a strap to hold the cable together, especially at this price. It comes with a carrying bag, too. So, in conclusion, I would definitely recommend the Beats solo 2 to anyone from children to adults of any gender in the world. Now I can say:I love my Beats solo 2!; not because of celebrity endorsement, but because they sound GREAT.

Love it.
This is the first pair of headphones I have gotten from beats so I went into this with low expectations. I saw many reviews on the quality and knowing that I got them anyway. The packaging was done well, however there was a dent on the box on the corners as if it was thrown around before it was put in the box for shipping. Overall the headphones do everything I want and more. I listen to my music on my Android phone. The only setback is that you can't change the volume. You can change songs and even repeat songs with a couple presses of the center button on the headset. Once for play/pause. Twice for Play Next. And three times for Previous Song. If you hold It you can use the google search feature with voice. And you can also take calls with one press. As far as the quality, everything is perfect. There is nothing wrong with the ear cups or the wires. The speakers sound clear and full of space. Not only that but they can really fit anyone. And I've done some running on the beach with them already and they aren't coming off. It's nice for people who prefer the headphones over the Inner-ear design. Comfort is hard to explain. It's comfortable after you find out what fits your head best. I have to pull mine down two notches on each side. I'll give my experience a 5/5. It's a good deal for the money if it's in your price range.

One star to almost 5 stars
Okay, I am leaving my original review below so in case if you happen to be interested in reading you know what kind of issues I faced. I will say I changed my review from one star to almost 5 star, because as both sides of the headphone worked, it truly sounded amazing. I think it is worth the price and does provide solid experience. And for bonus it looks good too ;) Now for the problem that faced here is the solution and a reason for calling it almost 5 stars and not full 5 stars. It is a design flaw in the way the cable has been designed or say the instruction manual are provided. The audio/microphone cable supplied with the headphone is a unidirectional cable, or for better clarity only partially works if connected in a certain direction. The cable pin (on the side of the microphone) needs to go in the headphone and otherwise in the audio player. If you do otherwise then you end up hearing sound in only one side, unless you press the volume control button in the middle. It's possible that many people at first may not notice this little thing and may end up getting the same issue as I got, like many online forums prove and some Amazon reviewers too. I suggest that Beats update their manual instructions about this requirement so they don't end up having their customers return their product due to this limitation. Else enjoy the music as it is supposed to be. You off course don't need to read but my original and now not so relevant review is below -- The worst product I have ever purchased. First of all when you spend $200 you expect the product to work, with a solid quality. For my headphone, only one side worked and other side just did not. Then I realized that other side works only when I press the control button in the cable, but had to keep it pressed constantly. For once I really thought that may be it is named solo for a reason that only one side of headphone supposed to work ;) anyways, then I thought that it could be one off issue but I read reviews and forums and looks like it is a very common issue with these headphones. I can also say that sound quality was pathetic, no where close to what you would expect with such expensive product. Save money and spend it some place else. I am returning it back with a hope that I can find a better replacement.

really do love them
they are great headphones.....i never had the others so i cant compare to them but they really are better then any other headphones ive owned before and i looked into them a lot compared to the others and from what ive read its really worth spending the extra 20-30 dollars for these ones over the solo hd's ....they really have a great sound the only thing is they hurt my ears a little but i have big ears for sure plus its not bad enough that i dont want to use them in fact i hated headphone before these but i have a feeling ill be using these a lot!! oh and one more thing ...they do seem very well made like they raent just going to fall apart or break on you ...they are heavy-ish and not just some cheap plastic (the joints that make it bend are metal) and the rubber padding on them seem like it will last a very long time if at least somewhat taken care of but all in all they are very nice once again so you remember the only problem i have with them are they make my ears hurt but i think i will get used to it soon (im also not used to wearing headphones much)

These are great headphones, I love the sound quality it's nice ...
These are great headphones, I love the sound quality it's nice and clear, I can really only speak for rock music but I'm sure it would sound great for any music I can listen to my music louder without others hearing it, (louder than I thought) when you first get them they may hurt after about an hour when it comes to comfort but after time using them I can now wear them for about six hours until it hurts enough to take them off, I like being able to answer my calls without taking out my phone and being able to pause my music without taking out my phone, I can really get into my music in loud areas, plus you can get a nice color for your own dressing style, I like wearing black more and I got black and red headphones and they look great, and the carrying case I can fold up the cord and keep the headphones and cord in at the same time, I highly recommend them for music lovers

I wasn't a major fan of my previous beats because they had an awesome sound level but the sound leaked too much
I'm a previous owner of the Beats Solo HD, I had those for two years until somehow my sister ended up with them. I bought these because I caught them at a lower price for $150 and I had a amazon gift card. I wasn't a major fan of my previous beats because they had an awesome sound level but the sound leaked too much. I'm a person that likes to listen to music when I study but I had to have my volume at the lowest because the person next to me could hear the song as if they were listening to it. With these headphones, no problem at all, the sound leak is a lot better, I had my volume level on at about mid range and it could not be heard by anyone around me. These headphones are also a lot more comfortable, it's a tight fit but its comfortable because they aren't too loose. The look is more polished and shiner compared to the solo HD and they feel more sturdier. If you're a person that likes to blast their music at an all time high, these are for you. The sound level is a lot more balanced, the bass doesn't overpower the lyrics and there is a lot more clarity. Overall, I'm much more happier with these headphones then I was with my previous pair, my sister defiantly won't be getting her hands on these!

Solo 2.0 are defective. Wait.
This is not a comment to the company that distributed or handled my refund. This is a review to the manufacturer of the products Beats Solo 2.0. My daughter's graduation was one week after the Beats Solo 2.0 headphones came out. With great excitement and surprise, she opened the box and immediately pulled out the shiny, sleek red headphones. She plugged them into her iPhone 5 and sound only came out of the left ear. To make matters worse, the remote on the auxiliary cable was defective able. Described to handle volume control, fast forward, rewind, as well as answer phone calls, the only thing the cable remote did was temporarily turn on the volume of the right ear. The only way my daughter could hear sound in the right speaker was by holding the button down on the auxiliary cable. The minute she let go bye-bye sound. Returning it was not a problem. Thinking it was one defective set, we drove to Best Buy and bought a new pair of Red Beats Solo 2.0. In the parking lot, I tested them out and the exact same defect occurred. We walked back in to Best Buy and exchange the set for a pair of Blue (thinking maybe the red were jinxed). Nope! The defect occurred again. The cashier thought maybe the headphones recently purchased by Apple were not compatible with the Apple iPhone5, so she tried it with her Samsung Galaxy. Nothing. Needless to say, I got another refund and the cashier reported it to the floor manager of the potentially batch of defective Beats Solo 2.0. My daughter gave up the Beats and selected another pair of headphones that work magically for a fraction of the cost.
