This is an update to an earlier review. After trying my first batch of this powder, I wrote how "awful" it tasted to me because of the vanilla in it. I have been informed by this very diplomatic dealer who is adding that vanilla info to the product ingredients. I have tried another powder that does not have vanilla (many folks love vanilla!! Just not me) and....it is so much more acceptable. Amazing how one ingredient makes a difference. This works so well at bringing on that relaxation so direly needed in this chaotic world so we can enjoy the ride, be it so rough at times. Thank you KAVADOTCOM (KavadotCALM) for offering such great products and standing behind them. Amazon should be proud to host such as you.

I've had plenty of 30% Kavalactone strength kava power and this is not it. This is more like the crush root that you have to filter before you drink. It's still strong if you mix 1/3 of the bag and strain it. KavaDotCom, please reach out to me if you think I got the wrong product. If I didn't then you need to remove the 30% Kavalactone instant mix claims. thats false advertisement.

First time trying Kava was with a Fijian Chief in his buré. Great experience, but like drinking dirt water! Have tried several brands/types since. This really is a good one as far as taste. Even better, it actually works! Not super strong, but particularly for novice I would highly recommend as relaxing, calming drink and numbs the mouth (helpful if dealing with pain!). Can mix into hot or cold cocoa but also for me, chocolate coconut water (or milk) works great! Coffee w/creamer too (best with some “fatty” drink as it activates the Kava more. Most of time I just take it straight though, with sip of whatever tastes best to you...you’ll figure it out!

Well, the taste is to be expected -- like dirt, but worse, somehow. That's not why I'm giving it a low score... I'm giving it 2 stars because it didn't work. At all. I'd taken this right before a flight to calm my nerves a bit, but felt absolutely no different the entire time. And I probably put about half the bag's worth in my bottle of water, so it wasn't the quantity. Maybe this will do fine for more sensitive folks, but my experience was a flat line

Had the same issue the most recenter reviewer had. This is 100% kava root, not instant kava. I've bought this exact product often and know the difference. I'm not sure if this was a production issue with KavaDotCom or if it's a counterfeit product. Hopefully KavaDotCom responds so the product can get pulled.

This has to be one of the best instant kava blends I have tried. It is convenient and works. I take Klonopin, and it's very similar, as they both work on the GABA receptors. So some days, I don't even need my prescription meds because of this. Take a gamble and give this a try.

I've had a lot of kava. This is the worst I have had yet. It's like drinking weeds/sticks in the "instant powder". YUCK!! And I did not get any effects from it as I do other kava. I'll never purchase this again.
