I have had this light for a few years. It is amazing. It has been such a useful tool for my whole family. I have used it for wound healing and anti-inflammatory purposes. I am a laser technician. I would like to point out that infrared light increases blood flow. It is used in anodyne therapy on wounds. The light increases blood flow, so it is an effective tool in wound healing, inflammation, hair loss, and anti-aging applications. You will not regret getting this light. It is also a great value.

The light itself arrived a little damaged on the receptacle end but was still usable. We ended up using it in a sealed light fixture and it worked great for almost a year until it just stopped working one day. My best guess is that it overheated. The companies customer service was really helpful though and issued a replacement since it was still under their 3 year warranty. Very helpful. We removed the reflector in our light fixture usually meant for standard bulbs and replaced our red light therapy LED array and it has lasted without issues ever since.

I haven’t tried the bulb yet, so I can’t offer any feedback. I just wanted to share that the bulb fits in this adjustable desk lamp that I’ve had for 20+ years and the weight of the bulb is not a factor either.

I discovered that red light therapy was effective for me in dealing with shoulder injuries after a car accident by going to a "rejuvenation" spa and buying 10 minutes of exposure at a time in their $12,000 device made by a company called Joovv. I did my research and learned that the power of the device results in the "Irradiance" level, which is how the studies measure the effectiveness. This product is one of the few that actually states the irradiance levels it will deliver ("Irradiance: 89.3 mW/cm² (6" distance); 46.0 mW/cm² (12" distance)). This product puts out enough power to achieve relief from injury pain and seems to be accelerating my healing. I recommend some sort of Architect's lamp fixture - not the recommended "clip" or "cord" products that I saw, because the bulb and its built in fan are pretty heavy. To hold it in place over the area of treatment, you need something with strong springs made of metal.

Very difficult to find lamps that hold this bulb and allow for ventilation. Company was not helpful with recommendations. Also, returns are not the usual Amazon returns. Best to buy a red light device that is integrated - bulb and fixture together.

The light is great and I have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and powerful LLLT solution. My only metaphysical problem with LLLT in general is to be able to be sure and to prove that it helped me out. This is why I have set the pain relief note to 3 stars out of 5. In other words, I can not swear nor be sure that I got better because of the red light. Maybe it would have been exactly the same without red light... or not. That is up to you to judge but one thing is sure and that is that this is a great light to work with so if you want to try LLLT, I can only recommend you to use a light like this. If that does not help you, I believe that there is no other red light on earth that will make any difference :).
