Great memory, better price, and next day
Bought a pair of 16Gb to replace a faulty stick in a hurry. For the price, I easily doubled what I had previously, all next day. My Dell XPS is now 14, and it still runs like a boss. I haven't benched this ram, nor plan to overclock, for budget ram I wouldn't push it. The timings are good enough. It's stable and takes whatever I throw at it. Haven't had any sign of an issue with these.Core i7 920ATI Radeon HD5870 (next upgrade)2 500Gb WD Raptors in RAID 02 500 Gb SSDsIt has a couple of firewire ports :p

So far so good
Well my desktop pc was acting choppy and my mouse sticking like crazy even with new mouse batteries. So I ran a memory test. The test ran 12 hours and never stopped and was showing errors , so I ordered the new ram and now my pc is like new. Running smooth, no choppy mouse or delayed action while using my desktop pc.

For when you want to do windows 7 shenannigans
Back in 2011, this was the same RAM model I had picked out when I built my first PC.It was a Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium machine at the time and capped out at 16 gigs of ram. While it might not have been the best available at the time, it had served me well for over a decade.I started having problems with my CPU overheating and tried to fix it by swapping out the thermal paste. Some time after I had noticed that my ram was stuck at 8 GBs despite both cards still being in the mother board. I tried so many things to fix it, checking to see if it was seated correctly, upgrading my OS to the ultimate edition to see if my ram was being limited after an update I had installed, and so on.After all that, I had assumed that one of the sticks had burned out and needed to be replaced. After getting these new sticks, they worked like a charm and I was soaring at 24 GBs, at least until I closed my machine back up and it was reading 16. This made me go into a panic and I tried again to fix it, open it up, and made sure to secure them as best as I could. After all that, I am now sitting at 32 GBs because my original one was fine and the only problem is that the motherboard hadn't been latching it properly after all.So now I doubled the RAM of my ancient one, and honestly? It is pretty rad.Moral of the story, I'm dumb, and when you install your ram, you should really make sure that you are pressing it down so that gravity can help you out. Cheers to another decade!

Trouble with first set but quick replacement and still a great buy!
This is Good RAM and I love G.Skill but the packaging could be improved or it could be delivered in a box rather than a padded envelope. In short, first order was DOA, replacement was sent immediately and worked great. If this is compatible with your system, it's a great set of memory for a decent price. Good buy.My kid wanted to upgrade his computer and had $100 of birthday money to spend so I got him this. First set that was delivered came with some damage to the plastic packaging (some cracks and dents) but the ram looked okay physically. I removed the old stick of ram and installed these. I turned the PSU back on and started the computer but it didn't boot up. Pulled the ram and reinstalled the old stick and the system was working again. I double checked that thesr specific memory modules were compatible with my system and they were so the ones that were delivered were just defective or, more likely, shocked in transit. I'm super careful handling any electronics parts. I have a dedicated grounding port that I connect my work surface to as well as my wrist strap. I'm very experienced at building my own systems so nothing I did damaged this, it was just DOA. Due to the quick replacement I am not taking any stars off of my review.
