I bought this to sanction off the stairs from the rest of my house.I had a couple major criteria I was looking for when shopping and this gate met all those needs.- Allow me to keep my 42lb puppy on the main floor while allowing me to go between the floors without opening extra gates- Freestanding so I can use it to sanction off other areas of the house if needed- Heavy duty- Look goodThis gate may not work for everyone, but for my purposes it works great. If you have a dog that likes to jump on the gate, this may not work for you. But, this gate has been able to withstand occasional bumps and it doesnt budge.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

bought this to keep our large puppy away from our Christmas tree...so far so good. Not sure what would happen if he tried to jump up against it, but it seems solid and doing the job. Looks decent also (espresso color)

Got this to keep a large opening between my kitchen and family room separate for my GSD puppy. The area is not suitable for the typical pressure mount or permanent mount child/pet gates. This has worked well and I like that you can also put the ends together to make an open pen. The gate is pretty sturdy and the whole thing is pretty well made. I would have liked a "foot" stablizer option only because as he has gotten bigger he bumps it and while it hasn't tipped yet, it probably will sooner than later. Great buy and worth the price overall.

I have had this gate for about 2 months now. At first I LOVED it. It was perfect and sturdy enough for my bigger dog, and loved the look of it. Then It literally just started falling apart. Pretty soon the door literally just fell off as well as other parts of the gate. And we were NOT rough with it at all just had it standing up in our living room our dog doesn’t mess with it. I am so disappointed in this product. I read all the reviews and thought it was going to be great but I think the reviews people are writing are right after they receive them when people should not write a review until they have owned them for awhile. I know the other reviews are good but trust me, you will love it until it falls apart. DO NOT PURCHASE.

We’ve had to replace our dog gate about three times and always got the same one from amazon because it had good reviews but was still pricey and our dogs/kids kept breaking the gate off without being rough with it. Finally I decided to find a different and hopefully more reliable gate and came across this one! It’s pricey and huge (you can see the extra we have behind the couch) but it’s sturdy and the gate hardware is incredibly easy to put on, plus there are two latches, at the top and bottom of the gate so it offers much more supposed to the gate than our previous one.

I love the look, and like how the sections have 2 way hinges.however the door only has a oneway hinge and you will brake the door frame if a 6 year tries to open it in the opposite direction as the hinges go. the wood joints are showing stress fractures already. I believe a different or better joining could prevent that and better glue. I have larger dogs that are smarter than they should be, Lab/doodle size, and they love to test new escape routes.

I really liked the look of this, but it didn't work for long. I fixed it once by screwing an additional board on it to stabilize it and that worked for a while, but then a whole piece by the bottom of the gate cracked and broke apart. Unfortunately the design is fundamentally flawed. It just doesn't have the durability to withstand repeated uses of the gate...and that's assuming you don't have kids or pets that are actively trying to get through it / climb over it. The joints that hold the gate piece together wobble from the beginning because they just aren't strong enough. Over time that wobble increases until it reaches a breaking point. A big waste of money.

very well made, very heavy duty and keeps our 100 plus lb puppy off my paperwork I'm sorting on the floor. It also looks good where we have it.. very satisfied with the buy
