It works very well
I give it 5 stars because it exceeded my expectations. I bought it as a simple alarm but once I used it it worked wonderfully. It's very noisy and very precise

Scared the Raccoon
Easy to install. Set up requires a bit of trial/effort because the remote included does not match the remote in the instruction booklet. The icons on the buttons are different than the illustration and therefore have different functions than given in the instructions. I am using this in the ceiling of an outdoor pavilion to scare away raccoons that have been doing a lot of property damage. This sensor is probably meant to detect humans much larger than a raccoon, but it did eventually sense the raccoon at about 12 ft away. The alarm sound is quite loud and stunned the raccoon for a couple seconds before running away (got it on video). The light is just a red flashing light that is not very alarming at all. I was hoping for something like a blinding strobe but couldn't find the loud alarm and flood light in one unit anywhere. I have a very sensitive camera in the same area that senses the critters quicker than this alarm does, but with the remote I can manually set off the sound alarm without going outside. The remote seems to have a good strong PIR. It works from inside closed windows, across 30ft of yard and through the pavilion curtains. Handy on these very cold winter nights.

So far, helping to outsmart the dogs....
I'm not too proud to say that I am sometimes outwitted by my dogs. Lately they have decided if the weather is unfavorable, they will slip away to a distant (thankfully tiled) room rather than brave the elements when nature calls. Very frustrating! I had tried another motion detection device which was cheap and useless. This one has worked VERY well so far. The only problem I've had is figuring out the exact field of detection. I have it set up on a chair near their preferred location. So far they've been busted three times. After the siren goes off (and it is LOUD), the dogs run to the door, their expressions saying, "OH, was I in the house? I TOTALLY meant to go to the door." Pros: Setup could not be simpler. It doesn't require mounting (I have set it on table, chairs, etc., trying for best position). Does come with mounting hardware if you're so inclined. Can change to a pleasant doorbell like sound if you like. Remote is simple and everything can be accomplished with a click. Remote is handy for quick shut off after alarm triggered. The only issue thus far has been manipulating the device to get it placed just where I want, but that's not a big deal at all. It seems fairly well made, and I definitely am glad I purchased. I can see a lot of uses for this device, but for now, it is admirably serving the purpose for which I purchased it. One last caveat: do make your spouse or other family members are aware that it is on, armed, and how to turn it off. I am not sure my husband appreciated the surprise effect when he went to put away something in the closet and tripped the alarm. I will update if it doesn't last or continue to work well, but for now I could not be more pleased, although my dogs would not concur.

Only get reliable motion detection within 12 ft from cam and 16 ft when I try hard to set it off
It's pretty loud at its high volume setting. The softer alarm could be helpful when I'm at home. It often takes me multiple key presses on the remote to arm or disarm, though disarming seems to be easier. The remote may be a bit defective. The detector activates within a couple of seconds after arming, so I have to be out of detection range when arming or disarming. The arm/disarm seems to work pretty well from a distance, and through the metal door to my home, so that's no problem, apart from having to click the remote possibly multiple times. The detector beeps once to confirm it's armed and twice when disarmed. It works well enough for me to purchase another for another room in my house. That should offset the problem with the short 12 foot range that I'm getting. The batteries are holding up pretty well. I does give me some peace of mind.

Keeps dog out of room!
I use it to keep our dog out of a room. It works well - he walks into its path and it beeps.

LOUD and Effective!
LOVE THIS!! I got three motion detectors to protect my empty rental while I was waiting to find new tenants and the new tenants moved in. I am on good terms with the neighbors around my rental property, so they knew if they heard something to call or text me. There was a time or two I did set these off, initially to make sure they worked and then once accidentally when I went over to check on something in the garage. My motion alarm in the garage, it blended in nicely with other items on the garage's work bench so IF it had been someone breaking in to steal my new kitchen appliances or whatever nefarious goals a burglar might have had, it would surely scare them off. I was sure scared when I did it by accident! The kitchen and front door alarms were not so well hidden since my rental property was empty waiting on tenants to occupy. However, I kept the front door alarm turn off remote at my own home with me, and then had the alarm remote for the next in series sort of near the next to be turned off so I could make my way through the home without setting it off. However, the time I set alarm off accidentally was my own fault for not remembering to get that last on/off button and turning off the garage-based alarm before I went out there. There are so many uses for these! I highly recommend these. In case Amazon puts similar products together, this is my product's description: CPVAN 125dB Loud Motion Sensor Alarm with 328ft Remote Control (40ft PIR Detector, Batteries), Indoor Wireless Infrared Security Motion Detector with Siren for Home Garage Van (CP2 Pro, Black) I hope this review helps others.

Bought 2 for my garage - they work as indicated. I have one pointed at my side door and the other at the main bay door, both paired to one remote. Nice and small, easy to install wherever you need them. Alarms are loud and remotes work well (and at a distance). Best things about these: - Remotes are interchangeable with each alarm - You can program multiple alarms to one remote (and multiple remotes to alarm groups). So buying 2 alarms means you can have a spare remote - Alarms can be powered via micro USB (but you must buy your own USB cables to power them). Very handy to avoid battery replacement! If you can, get an "elbow-jointed" micro USB cable as the cord can get in the way of the mount. That said, I positioned mine as needed without issues.

Sometimes, the Motion Sensor Alarm would not arm itself. At other times, the Motion Sensor Alarm would go off even when it wasn't armed.

So I have a speical needs son and he likes to wake up at 4am every morning no matter what time he goes to be before this I've locked down windows with screws and doors with angle lock and pretty much baby proof the crap out of my house to try and protect him and my stuff he still managed to destroy more then half my house with this he can only go to bathroom without setting it off after first few days he doesn't set it off or even try and I have peice of mind knowing he isn't playing with stuff that could be dangerous to him really recommended if you have a little escape artist n don't have perfect doors not like doors every really hold our little sneeks lol 😀 😉 he still wakes me up when playing so not like I'm getting extra sleep but at least it's loud enough that I know I won't sleep threw his destruction and can even turn it on when I'm cooking and he's playing upstairs to make sure he doesn't destroy my stuff lol one thing I'd like to say to the creators can you make the base stronger were it Attaches to the wall aka thicker plastic I see one teddy hitting this and it made useless I have it up very high but again it seams like it will break from a teddy

Very easy to use. Just the sensor and a remote. No complicated setups. Just hang it anywhere. Very very loud.
