these set of speakers will fall within the perfect equipment that you require
If you are looking to create a premium home theater space, these set of speakers will fall within the perfect equipment that you require. The speakers are solid, sturdy, and somewhat heavy in order to maintain the highest fidelity and minimize distortion. Installation is easy and painless. Tucking the wiring inside your walls or ceilings might become cumbersome, but once the job is finished, the results are AMAZING!Please note that these speakers are a good fit for shelf free standing, since they have a rubberized base. If you are planning an in-wall or in-ceiling installation, you need Bose's specialized mounts. These will provide the support required for these beautiful system. If you are looking for a flush install for walls, the Bose® SlideConnect™ WB-50 wall bracket is what you need (usually for front and center speakers). For the surround / rear speakers you will want UB-20 Series II wall/ceiling bracket, since you can adjust, and tilt to your desired angle.Note that you still need a receiver for this system. I paired mine with the Sony STR-DN85.The receiver is a 7.2 Ch receiver, but it will know the amount of speakers you have connected to it based on its auto-calibration capabilities. It also offers an equalizer for each individual speaker, allowing you to customize your listening experience. The Acoustimass 10 Bass and LFE module is a big boy. Granted, this only guarantees distortion-free low and very high volumes. It can be hidden if you have furniture that allows it, or an inconspicuous built in cabinet. Bose recommends setting the module in the corner of a room, but honestly, these speaker system's signal processing is so accurate, that regardless of the module's position, you will enjoy it and either low or high volumes.Premium product, warranty and support. You can't go wrong.

Great sound in an expensive, stylish package
Pros:- Great sound, especially for movies- Deep bass, sharp treble- Compact design- Wall mounting gives professional lookCons:- Expensive- Messy, proprietary wiring- Brackets/stands are expensive- Lacks warmth (especially midtones)Conclusion:Despite my minor quibbles, I'm very happy with this system. If you're looking for great sound in a compact system from a brand associated with luxury, then the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V will suit you nicely; audiophiles and those on a budget should look elsewhere. Receiver used: Marantz NR1509.

Bose Acoustimass 10 Series V Home Theater review
These speakers sound great. I have them attached to my Sony Multi Channel AV Receiver STR-DN1040. I have always been a Bose Speaker fan and have owned 901's, wave radio, and Acoustimass V when they first came out. These speakers replaced the Acoustimass V which actually still sound good (20+ years old). The big difference for me is the base module. Throws out way more base than the original Acoustimass V base module. Easy to setup and plenty of speaker wire for the base module and rear surround sound speakers.

3 Years sub quit. High Quality! Receiver not included. ZERO Brackets are included!
Edit: May 2021 and the sub has crapped itself. We use the basement room maybe 5 times a year. Sub doesn't have any bass and refuses to let the rear speakers work. We are currently in the process of stripping the wires to plug the speakers (which still work) into our receiver. Disappointed that after 3 years the sub crapped itself. Speakers still work. We're just without bass. Ugh!Edit: October 2020 and still going strong! Not a drop in sound quality over the two years and still works like it's fresh out of the box. We use it at least twice a week.Detailed Explanation incoming! I had a lot of questions prior to purchasing this product, so maybe this can help some people! Bose is my Go-To for sound, so when I saw this I was very excited! We don't like sound bars very much so we wanted an actual speaker system. The bass is very robust and we don't have the bass turned up all the way.1. 100% satisfied with this product. We set up the basement with railway so we didn't have to run the wires through walls/patch drywall/etc. The wires are a lot thicker than standard speaker cable. I was quite happy with it. I will add more photos if I can at a later date, I'm not home right now.2.I would definitely recommend taking everything OUT OF THE BOX first. My poor partner was confused having only opened it 1/2 of the way.3. The speakers all plug into the sub, which has a ribbon that goes to your receiver. The wires all have special connectors to go into the speakers, so no cutting is required unless you are wall mounting and using the WB-50 Wall Bracket. When you do cut, the color of the ground is obviously black, with the other cable being color coded to the sub connection (like Rear Left is Green, Rear Right is Light Purple) so it helped us when setting up cables to know which went where.4. The sub is a lot deeper than we expected (See the image it hangs out a little bit) It's the entire width of the box and like 27lbs alone.5. ZERO WALL BRACKETS ARE INCLUDED. Slide Connect WB-50 Worked fine for this speaker model, but we did have to cut and strip the cables to go into the brackets. They are flush mount. If you use the connector included, your cable will be bent weird and it just doesn't work. The only one where we have the bracket and did NOT cut was the center because we made a hole to the storage and just ran the entire cable through.5a. I bring this up because I asked the question here on amazon: If the center speaker came with one, to which they told me yes. That was a lie. We ended up purchasing 3, since we have shelves to hold the front L and R.6. Our receiver is a Yamaha - AVENTAGE 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD A/V Home Theater Receiver It works excellent. They recommend 4-8 oHm, this one is supposedly a 6, but either way, we are happy with how it works.7. Sub has two knobs to make adjustments as you'd like.I hope that helps. It took us a few hours to set it up, since we had never done one before to this scale. (I had a little 4 speaker in my apartment when I was in college, we ran cable under carpet.)We love it!

The subwoofer is the problem
I have had mine for 3 years now and the sound is ok but The subwoofer cut off frequently, It cuts off when ever it’s on and you have to disconnect and reconnect to power for it to come for another 2 minutes.

Bose Rocks!
Awesome sound from such small speakers! I chose Bose because I didn't want my home theater to look junked up with a bunch of bulky speakers and subwoofers. The system is awesome, but there is a lot of wiring involved and the subwoofer has to be placed in the front of the room. A small price to pay for great performance without the clutter.
