Great gadget and value! Yes, you do have to put the device flat onto a specimen or fairly flat, but this gives the user a very clear image. Also, the LED lights help with making the images clear. I can see how this handheld microscope could be great for children and science projects. Even exploring microscopic items, plants, bugs, etc. Fascinating for kids who enjoy up close exploring and users can’t beat the price for the quality. Plug it in to charge so no batteries to buy. I haven’t yet tried uploading photos it claims to take, so I can’t speak on that.

It’s really a good product you just got to know how to use it. I was using it like a normal magnifying glass and the image was very blurry. However, when I started to really put it close and I mean you really gotta put it on top of the thing, it’s quite remarkable. I’m very grateful for it because my nephew decided it would be a great idea to grab a cactus and got stung and it hoped us see clearly where the thorns were. It has a great gift value and very much worth the money. So far it’s got a great battery life. Only charged it once and it’s still good, mind you I don’t use it very often but I haven’t had to charge it with every use. Haven’t tried out the connectivity but not holding out too much hope because I own a MacBook and I haven’t found any software compatible with it but who knows? Overall good buy and very useful.

Surprisingly good magnifying device for well under $20. I would not call it a microscope, but it does magnify with three power levels. It works best when in contact with the surface of the item to be viewed. Easy to use with a clear display and buttons for power, zoom level, photo taking, and switching between captured images. Charged via USB C port. Includes USB A to USB C charging cable and instructions. Has a magnifying lens on the bottom. Can accept a micro SD card for image storage.

Had to return the item after 5 days use after the camera button broke. Doesn't come with 64GB microSD card to save your photos. 64GB is the highest microSD card this microscope will handle. It does have a option to replace on item return process. I replaced it because it was a gift otherwise I wouldn't have reordered. Do I think the microscope is a useful tool? On a scale of 5 a 3. The view on computer is a great idea. You may need glasses to see the LCD screen. Great for kids. Overall, this is a good device. The built-in display has a good resolution and brightness.The magnification is adjustable in 4 levels for the built-in display, from 10x to 14x.The light intensity is adjustable in 3 levels.The attached pictures show the built-in display with 1x setting = 10x magnification and at 4x setting = 16x magnification. The last image displays a glass calibration test scale, 3.7mm wide. Displayed on a 15" computer screen, the image is 290mm wide = 78x magnification level. To achieve the advertised 500x magnification, the device must be connected to a PC with the image displayed on a 55" monitor.

Great product great price

It's a nice, compact device that's very easy to use. It has a very clear picture. The rechargeable battery is a nice feature. Excellent value for the money.

Magnification is good but the fixed focus can be an issue at times. The focal point could be a little farther away from the object so that the lights work better to it's advantage. Sometimes since your so close to the object it blocks the light leaving a dark shadow on what your trying to see. Battery life is short compared to what it it claims. I would have gave it 3 1/2 stars but it only gave 3 or 4, no halves. So I gave it 4 stars. Still better than no magnification and not a bad view.
