Stylish and Durable, perfect, and Simple for My Son
I bought the Casio EF106D-2AV for my son, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The design looks far more expensive than it really is — sleek stainless steel band, rich blue dial, and that classic Casio style that never goes out of fashion. He wears it to school, church, and even when we go out, and it still looks brand new after months of use. The 100M water resistance is a big plus since he sometimes forgets to take it off before washing his hands or swimming. It’s definitely built to last! The watch face is clear and easy to read, even in the dark, and the date display is a nice bonus. It’s comfortable on the wrist and has just the right weight — not too heavy, not too light. ✅ Pros: • Elegant design and durable build • Water-resistant up to 100 meters • Accurate timekeeping • Great value for the price ⚠️ Cons: • None so far...just make sure to adjust the band properly for comfort Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s a timeless piece that looks great on him and makes a wonderful gift for anyone who appreciates quality and simplicity. Highly recommend!

Good buy
Good, but no backlight or illumination. Large numbers but can't see it in the dark fits well. Bought it you swim with, but overly cautious as other watches supposedly waterproof were not. Haven't taken it in the pool yet.

Nicest Under $50 USD Dress Watch I Now Own
If I handed this watch to you and ask you to guess how much I paid, you'd likely guess $150...maybe if you saw the Casio name, the "Ediface" line, you might guess $80...but you would NEVER guess $34. Here's the thing...it's metal...probably not high end...but it's nice. It weighs a nice weight, the crystal is great, the face is VERY nice, and it's 38mm. I have a nice Seiko 5 that is an automatic, and yeah, it's a bit nicer than this, but I gave $105 for that years ago. Oh, it also has a 10 year battery. This watch now joins my Casio AE1200-WH as my only 2 quartz watches with 10 year batteries. I am just gobsmacked with this watch. As all REAL watch lovers (horologists...and you aren't a true watch lover until you know this word BTW) become, eventually, they realize that Casio has watch design, manufacturing, etc...down to the point where the value is maximized and there just isn't really any competition here. Sure, it's quartz. Sure, I love my automatics...my Seikos, my Invictas, but seriously, I won't be embarassed at all wearing this watch in front of my horologist friends...because it is that good, and LOOKS that good. Go buy one now.

Could be better
Good price, great looking watch with pleasantly thin design but naturally heavier (stainless steel) than my older Casio digital (plastic). The blue dial is not gaudy and doesn't stand out like a neon sign. There are some disappointments with the design though. First the date window at the 5-o'clock position is really small; hard to read. The window should be a bit larger so the monthly numbers could be read with ease. Also, this watch knows nothing about what month it is, therefore, it will display 31 days for every month. That means it will be correct seven months out of the year, but you will have to reset it five times. God-awful incomplete instructions accompany this watch. They are printed on one LARGE sheet of paper in every language known to mankind with print small enough to give one a headache. Missing in the instructions are directions on how to shorten the band. I can comfortably guarantee you that links will need removing, three in my case. There are lots of videos on YouTube showing how to do this, but they were all for bracelet-type bands that did not match my band. Eventually, I did find a video that matched my band so I learned how to remove links. Doing that with "tools" around the house was another story. The little removable pins are very difficult to get out and you can easily scratch the band trying to accomplish the job. If you take it to a jeweler you will pay about half of what the watch cost, so it may not end up so inexpensive after all. After adjusting the band to fit my wrist, I do have to say it looks very nice and I am happy enough to keep it.

Good looking, inexpensive, well made watch
Very good and inexpresive watch. Not sure how Casio makes this watch for this price, is better made than an 100$ swatch. I use a G shock “G” for a long time but wanted to try an analog watch that is not as big for day to day at work and casual wear. This watch is flimsy compared to the G, but few watches are not flimsy compared with the G. Overall good quality construction, watertight (did not swim with it but it did not fog up w taking a shower or washing it). For now managed to keep the dial pristine despite not going crazy to protect it. The bracelet is the folded links type and quite large out of the box for my average 7inch wrist. I saw a couple you tube videos and then it took about 15 min to size it down (4 links out I think) using a cheap watch tool set so I guess this should not be a problem for most people. Update: picture added. The watch is relatively small in diameter but looks good on wrist and is easy to read. The lume is weak to non existent compared to Seiko but not a real issue in day to day.

Nice looking. Seems to work well.
The band could be better. But watch is very good looking and easy to read. Lume is also good with a proper charge. Went ahead and ordered a spare battery just in case as you never know when these "deal" watches were made and this one was actually running when I got it. Seemed to be new but perhaps a repackage.

I bought this watch because of its retro aesthetic. For me, it evoked this 2000s, Pierce Brosnan James Bond feel, which I was totally into at the time. Goes well enough with suits and casual attire. The band in particular I think looks really cool. It's a unique style I haven't seen on anything else this affordable. Casio does a good job of balancing value for money. This model is an Edifice, which is supposed to signal it is of a slightly nicer caliber than say their typical digital models. The dial also, really impressed me. It is just beautiful. I like the font for the numbers a lot (again retro feel), and the kind of chunky sword hands. The bracelet is a bit cheaper made (of course) so it may pinch a bit. I just shave my arm hair anyways tho, so it's not really a problem for me. This watch is comfortable otherwise. I swear there is a car somewhere out there that matches this aesthetic perfectly... but I'm not a car guy haha.
