They burn out in about 6 months but work well when they are working to attract flies to the zapper

I was buying filters and saw the UV lamps and for the cost I thought that this would be an add way to clean the air in my Heating and air-conditioning units, I have two HVAC units in my house and these would be a good for add cleaning of my air during the pandemic and for our future health of my family. I'm handy and it was not hard but not easy for me to install. you must have 120v near your unit to plug into and you need to mount it inside your fan box and keep it away from wires. Very nicely constructed and I think will do a good job at a reasonable price.

These CFL bulbs are brighter than the bulbs they replaced, but that doesn't seem to affect their effectiveness. The seem to be catching as many flies as the original bulb did. However, I don't know if this light will catch other flying bugs (like mosquitoes). These lights are still working great after 3 months of use, but I leave these bulbs on all the time, which has probably led to longer lifespan compared to turn them on/off daily. I will edit this review when they finally burn out. Overall, I am satisfied with these bulbs, but they seem to be cheaper in quality compared to the original bulbs, so I'll give this a 4-star rating.

This bulb is 13 inches long and it fits perfectly in my Hoont bug zapper. I removed the 2 screws on the outside grill, and easily installed these 2 bulbs with a slight twist. They working great and killing these annoying nats by our plants. Thank you all for responding to my questions. Have a great day!

Quality is good, function as they should, will buy again when needed

This is the second time I purchased these lamps. While the first ones worked for a decent amount of time, approximately one year, these lamps have discontinued working within 2 months of installation. The first lamp didn't even light once installed. After uninstalling and installing in the alternate ballast the lamp still would not light. The second lamp did work however as mentioned has stopped working recently.

These 10w replacement light bulbs for my fly zapper are amazing. When I purchased my fly zapper I had it for over a year and half before the light bulb died out. I found these replacements and it fit my zapper. I’ve had them for over 8 months now and still going strong. So far they work and zap bugs in my restaurant. NOTE: PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS WHEN REPLACING THESE LIGHT BULBS. DO NOT REPLACE WITH BARE HANDS. TURN OFF ZAPPER AND PUT A SCREW DRIVER ON THE GRILL TO DISPERSE THE REMAINING ELECTRICITY….I made the mistake of touching the light bulbs with my bare hands and I got zapped. It hurt and I felt it. Use rubber gloves if you don’t know how to remove them from your zapper or if it’s your first time. So far these light bulbs work and I’ll buy more when my zapper replacement bulbs die out. I highly recommend them. UPDATE: ************** One bulb finally died on 12/20/2021. The other one is still working.

I bought a 2-pack of this same product 2 years ago, and still had one bulb that I bought at that time. The new order arrived today, and the newer bulb is noticeably dimmer, and the color is nowhere near as vibrant as the 2 year old bulb. I do not know if this means it would be less attractive for the gnats to enter the grid or not, I suspect that is the case.
