1PK Brother Compatible DK-2205 Continuous Paper Labels (Reusable Cartridge Sold Separately) for Brother Printer

The instructions that come with this recommend that you cut the original tape roll spindle in half and insert the two halves into the center of the generic tape spool. Unless you own a band saw with a plastics cutting blade, don't bother. Just unroll the tape onto a spindle of some sort (for me, my old empty DVD cake spindles came in handy), and then roll back onto the Brother paper tape spindle. It takes a little patience and attention to the which side should be facing out (the backside), but this is something you can do when there's a pitching change during a baseball game or when you're waiting for the dinner bell. What you end up with is a huge roll of paper tape that allows you to print labels with impunity. Same quality, same dimensions, but for WAAAAYYYYYY less than what you'd pay for Brother's. Another side benefit is that there is less waste. You reuse the plastic spindle, so it doesn't end up in the garbage and is sturdy enough that it will probably last the life of the printer, so the only waste is the plastic wrap the bulk tape comes in and the cardboard spool that can be recycled. I liken this product to bulk grocery shopping. Use your own spindle and you can save lots of money and reduce waste.

Like the product, love the price. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the labels seem to have some trouble staying stuck to packages. Works well enough that I've never had a real problem with it, but always worried that the label will come undone during shipping. But can't beat the price, so I'll keep re-ordering them as long as they're supplied and my label printer is still working.

This is the 3rd time I've ordered from this company and all I can say is great, cheap product that gets the job done perfectly!

Making labels for a small business you can go through a roll of these quickly. These labels are the same if not better than the higher priced ones I used to buy.

Along with the off brand dk2205 compatible roller assembly this works perfectly in my Brother GL-700. Highly recommended and gotta get those last words in so I can submit :)
