The Human Figure in Motion

Great for studying figures. Really an amazing feat that Muybridge did this at all. Think about the mid 1800’s censorship. My copy arrived in very good shape with just a bit of wear on the cover. I’m very pleased.

This is an excellent book for artists and animators. I wish there was a book like this today but sadly there isn't. Buy this book if you are an artist.

Historically a fantastic photographer. A must for every artist when a Nude model isn’t available.

This is a good book, and as an artist it is quite useful to have. The actual physical quality of the book itself is really nice. My only complaint is that I wish someone would update this book in some form. I do like some of the old photos, but as an artist I would really like to see some newer higher quality photos. I also wish this book was just a little bit cheaper. :)

As one of the earliest attempts to photograph people in action, it is a very special book. I it saw long ago in a library. I am glad to have my own copy.

Necessity for learning how to draw the human form. Especially if you do not have a model. Also a very important part of art history. Highly recommend it.

It's a classic. I use it in drawing classes to teach gesture drawing. Edification for early artists as to orientation in space for the human figure with a graph background for measurement purposes.

I bought this book while I was in college, our latest project at the time was based on zoomorphic animation, and as I had no experience whatsoever animating anything more complicated than a ball I really needed something to help get me started. This book not only explores the shape and form of the human body, but also gives weight and movement to each still, allowing you to truly see how the human figure moves and interacts in everyday (and the not so everyday) tasks. This book is not just suited for the beginner animator either, its comprehensive collection of movement and balance from infancy to late adulthood make this a must have for all animators, fashion designers and even those who just like to draw. This book not only shows you how the human form moves, but challenges you to explore further into balance and movement, progressively leading to larger more complex maneuvers and positions. A highly recommend addition to all artists library's.

Il libro è arrivato in ottime condizioni e nei tempi stabiliti. Il libro è pesante e robusto. Ogni pagina contiene un movimento fotogramma per fotogramma, es. alzarsi da una sedia, correre etc. Comprende anche movimenti di donna e bambini. Lo consiglio a chi si deve avvicinare all'animazione o deve studiare un movimento.

紙の本も持っていますが、キンドルであれば、携帯性があり、絵を描くときの資料として、とても便利です。 紙のものよりはるかに安いです。

モノクロですが一定の角度から見た動きの分かる資料として十分の価値があります。
