The Elder Sister-Like One, Vol. 3

Is brother going to continue to ignore & avoid sister's sexual advances? Can he? Does he even want to? Such an odd twisted relationship these 2 "siblings" have. And what's this? A new demon comes forth? And she knows brother & uncle? I forsee trouble! Art, excellent. Dialogue, very good. Characters, likeable, & interesting.

I love the story and development of the characters. Chiyo is so loving and protective. I hope a new volume comes not before long!

A new character comes between the two main characters. It seems that our big sister may need to reveal some information really soon that she does not necessarily want our Yuu to know. And we see a little more of his uncle in the hospital. Why is that girl lurking around him? More and more questions. The art is stunning in this book, and keeps me coming back for more. I am really wondering what will come next.

Decent manga with Cthulu Mythos theme. There are hints of horror theoughout but nothing overly blatant. I wish it had a more frequent release schedule.

Nice to see the story and the characters continue to grow. Can't wait for the next chapter. Nice addition to the plot in this volume.

The Elder Sister-Like One is a slice of life. Following life adventures of Yu and his sister Chiyo. Who happens to be a demon that Yu made a pact with to be his older sister. First and foremost those expecting a horror or dark fantasy story will be sorely disappointed as at its core the series is a slice of life. How Chiyo an ancient demon is trying to integrate to human society and be an older sister to Yu. Filled with fan service and I suppose siscon elements even though Chiyo isn't human but it can be off putting to some. In this volume it focuses on Yu not being open enough with his issues causing his sister to doubt herself. These moments are all in between slice of moment such as chiyo getting drunk and wanting head pats from Yu and Yu taking a bath with his demon sister in a fan service friendly scene. With the next volume setting up a new conflict with another demon. Ultimately I enjoyed The Elder Sister-Like One for what it is a fan service friendly slice of life. Recommendations are a different matter entirely as it's a niche title and this series won't everyone's cup of tea. At the time of this review there is no other media besides the manga. If you enjoy the slice of life genre and don't mind fan service than give a read. If you expect some horror or lovecraftian twist than I would skip the series.

If you like sexy artwork along with a powerful story and cute antics this is a must read.

Very much enjoy the story. The shyness between the characters is nice. Tho it seems there will begina conflict in the next.

Strictly speaking demon is the wrong word - it summons up a Christian image of evil incarnate and it's plainly obvious she's not inherently evil. Just stupidly powerful and really unaware at times of the nature of mortals. Having said that volume three continues at its own pace - a slice of life story with a ups, downs and moments of fanservice. The story is developing and we can see the path of the narrative is strrewn with problems to be overcome. I'm hoping for a happy ending to this series - maybe not a conventional one but happy non-the-less purely as our heroine big sister is capable of showing an emotional sensitivity that belies her inner appearance. Keep the volumes coming - but a bit faster please !!
