BALLISTIC Urbanite Series Case for Apple iPhone 6 / iPhone 6s - Retail Packaging - Red/Black

The Ballistic LS case was perfect for my iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. It was thin and pocketable, but still protective, with replaceable corners and a smudge-resistant matte finish that felt great. I was sorry to see that Ballistic didn't carry that model over to the iPhone 6, so I took a risk and purchased the Urbanite, which in pictures seemed the closest equivalent to the LS. Alas, it differs from the LS in several important ways:- The Urbanite is thicker and much heavier than the LS. The LS was scarcely a millimeter thick. The Urbanite is about 3 millimeters thick, both on the back (noticeable around the camera lens) and on the front—-with a deeper and more intrusive lip.- The Urbanite doesn't have replaceable rubber corners like the LS. The integrated corners are still rubber, but of a harder, less grippy material that extends from the corners all the way across the top and bottom, as well as over the volume buttons and sleep button.- The rest of the Urbanite is a hard, slippery, shiny, smudgy plastic. Not the silky matte finish of the LS. In this way, the Urbanite seems to be Ballistic's version of the Speck CandyShell case: thick and heavy, with a rubbery interior and hard plastic exterior. I don't own the Black Carbon Fiber model of the Urbanite, but for what it's worth it looks like that model might at least be less smudgy than the clear or solid-color versions.Apparently Ballistic discontinued the LS series, replacing it with the Jewel series as their thinnest model for iPhone 6. I'm almost tempted to try that model, but I can see that it also doesn't have the replaceable corners of the LS, and it's made of the same slippery hard plastic as the Urbanite. I suppose I'll have to say farewell to Ballistic for now.

Had an earlier version of this case which eventually fell apart from heavy usage. I didn't bother getting a replacement as I live in Asia and freight on this costs more than the casing. However after about 5 months using a cheapy here my camera fell face down from only 2' and the screen shattered. the cost of fixing it was a LOT more than a replacement case would cost. So I immediately bought another one (THIS ONE) and received it last week. I got my iPhone 6 glass fixed and put this on immediately. Now I know I can drop from height and not worry about it smashing again. Do NOT hesitate. This thing works and is smaller than Otterbox (which is also very good)

Great phone case. It does what it's supposed to do and it allows you full access to your screen. I recently replaced my old cover because it was getting signs of wear and I wanted a fresh color. Unfortunately I have dropped my phone numerous times by accident and I have never damaged the phone with this case. I highly recommend it.

Good quality but I prefer a rubbery surface. This one comes in and out of pocket too easily, can fall out.

robust and not too big, phone feels a lot safer though I have not dropped it yet to test it out. Exterior is smooth so slides into pocket easily.

The best. If it breaks I’ll buy it again. Had it for 2 years very comfortable

Good protective case. It was everything that was advertised from the seller and works great.

Good solid choice for iphone. Ballistc corners and layered body make this a real good and economical choice.
