This ashwaghanda is really good. I love it, however I know some people are really Picky ugh so I will say the taste is of tree bark, but what do u expect it comes from a tree, and it really relaxes you. I hope this good review does not cause the price to soar up ugh i wish companies stop doing that! I like this product it works for me.

I have been buying Hanah Ashwagandha for 2 or 3 months, 4 ounces for $49 and is partly milk for "bio-sustainability." I thought hmm, takes more to work bc it has dried milk as a FILLER! AND they're charging so much! So, I got smart and researched - and I found this one by Organic Veda! Interesting: 4 times more product and LESS THAN HALF THE COST! I was like, ok maybe it doesn't work that well. Must be SOMETHING wrong with it. No!!! IT.WORKS.BETTER!!! OMG I can actually tell the difference, the calmness, the reserved serenity...the things Ashwagandha is known for! And because you get sooo much in the can, there's no stress over *have I rationed too much bc I dont wanna run out!* like with the miniature jar of Hanah! Yes. Yes. Yes. And Hanah claimed the milk was to make it go further (aka filler) and to help with taste. Well this unadulterated Organic Veda actually tastes GOOD - I like it in warm almond milk with Ghee. It's comforting and hearty...I seriously, seriously can't explain how glad I am that I found this Organic Veda Ashwagandha instead. Very pleased and will keep it on deck. (Packaging note: I tried using a can opener but it wouldn't go in right. Luckily I remembered that when I was a kid, cans had centered lids that popped open with a spoon - this one is like that - see pic)

The product is just what I was looking for. I am taking ashwaghanda to help me heal from a recent illness and to help my joints and tendons. It is a very fine powder, seems pure -- no sand or grit that I can detect. It is a very, very fine powder, so be careful not to breath it in, like if you are transferring some to a smaller container. I like that it is organic. The container has all the appropriate organic certification stamps/logos. I had taken a liquid extract of fresh ashwaghanda root that I got at a local market. At the dosage I was looking for (600-100 mg, twice daily). It would be too expensive to keep purchasing the fresh liquid. I went through the bottle in less than 10 days. This powder tastes just like the fresh liquid, so I feel confident that this product is indeed ashwaghanda root. I tasted the plain powder to check it out. I am taking 1/2 tsp, twice daily. It has not upset my stomach. It has a slightly bitter taste, so I am putting the powder in applesauce with other supplements I take, and add some ginger and cinnamon powders. I hate swallowing a lot of pills, so this is a great way to go. I also appreciate that the seller provided a product that was manufactured very recently, and does not expire for two more years -- not something that would soon reach the end of it's shelf life. I am very satisfied and will happily purchase again from this seller (Lords Organics and Natural Wellness).

I ordered this in February along with triphala and was getting ready to order again. I noticed that the made on date was from 2018 on both of these items and the label indicated that it would be good for 2-2.5 years after. This means that what I ordered was already TWO YEARS OLD when it was delivered. I wish I had paid more attention to this when I first got it.I have no doubt that this is a legit and quality product, so I am giving it 4 stars. I see that the packaging is different than it was in February, so perhaps I got caught in a dump of inventory to prepare for the new label.I am willing to give this brand a second chance the next time I need more herbs.

This product arrived perfectly packaged. Some reviews will say that it was difficult to open and that they made a mess in their attempts. You simply use a spoon to pop the outer metal lid and the flip the spoon over and run it along the edge of the container and the soft metal seal. It opens perfectly that way. As for the product itself, well it is a root powder so it is going to taste different than what some of us are used to. I've only used it a couple times so far but what I have found is that mixing it with room temperature water is best and then proceed to chug. Sipping it is not in the cards for my taste buds. The after taste tastes like cucumbers so it's not so bad if you like cucumbers. As for the effects of the product, I'll reiterate that I've only used it a couple times ( I am big caffeine drinker and I'm using this product to replace caffeine ) however around 8pm I have mixed some if this up and it gives me a clean boost to get thru the remaining 4/5 hours of a 12 hour shift.
