Regarding slipping off the faucet: Has anyone thought about using waterproof tape to keep the ball handle from slipping? Tacky, but it works for me.

I have not considered waterproof tape to keep the crystal bath from slipping. It hasn't slipped or fell off so long as you have it hooked behind the shower head knob. Another way to stop it from slipping is getting 3 or 4 thick hair ties and slipping it over the faucet and then hooking it behind the those hair ties. Cheaper and you don't have to worry about extra waterproof tape. Plus, if you have ladies in your household, then they could always definitely use extra hair ties.

Does it remove floride?

No, that takes a much more complicated filtration system and more expensive. I was not happy with this product filter it mildewed very easily and could not remove the chlorine out of a municipal system more than twice in use. Do a whole house filter system instead with minimally a charcoal filter. See Berkey water systems for drinking water (removes fluoride with right filter) and the waterguru.com for a serious whole house system.

Does this product filter floride?

I don't know but I don't think so.

How often should this filter be changed? We change the filters on the water filters we have in our kitchen every 4 months.

The "Bath Ball Filter User Guide" that came with my Crystal Quest filter states: "Replacement disk life (approximate) is 18-24 months. Filter life is directly related to your water conditions and volume of water filtered. Local water conditions may require more frequent replacement."
