Perfect Match for Home Depot Poplar Plywood. Easy, Fast, and Professional Results!
I couldn’t be happier with this 1 inch iron on edge banding. I used it on poplar plywood from Home Depot and it matched perfectly in both color and grain. It gives a clean, finished look that makes the project appear professionally done without the hassle of adding solid wood edging.Application was quick and straightforward. A regular household iron was all I needed. Just align it, press it on, and you’re done. It bonded smoothly with no bubbling or peeling. This product saved me a lot of time and was much easier than milling and attaching hardwood strips.A helpful tip for anyone working with three quarter inch plywood: make sure to buy the 1 inch width. It gives you a little overlap on both sides that you can easily trim off with a utility knife or edge trimmer. That extra bit of width really helps get a flush, clean edge.It also takes stain, paint, and polyurethane beautifully. No blotching or uneven spots. The finish looks smooth and consistent with the rest of the plywood. If you are working with poplar plywood and want an easy and professional looking edge solution, this is absolutely the way to go. Highly recommended!

Nice thick edge banding good glue adhesion
I did a trial installation of this edge banding material on some plywood cutoffs using an household iron and clamping it for a short time afterward with a caul. It looks good, and it’s thick. I need to buy a better tool to cut it in length and trim and possibly chamfer the edges. I haven’t ever used this edge banding, but it seems like it will take shellac. I think it was a good buy. I would have liked there to have been a link to a good “how to install l, what tools to use and how to get the best results when finishing” website.

Nice product, minimal splices
I used several different brands and the quality of this banding was quite nice. It didn't have many splices in the material, I believe I found only 3 over 50ft, and the splices that were there were done well. I typically don't use spliced areas, but these were usable in a pinch. I've seen similar products where the finger-joint splices are just horrible. The only downside was its width was barely 3/4" so it was a tight fit on the birch ply I was using. Still plenty usable, just had to be careful on placement. I'd purchase 7/8"-wide next time.

Used for “dollhouse siding”
I purchased this edge banding to make “siding” for a wooden dollhouse. I overlapped each strip and temporarily glued them in place. Then I used my regular clothes iron to heat the strips. It worked perfect and resembled real weatherboard once painted. The house was not too big and I needed two of the rolls with maybe 6-8 feet left over. I did not notice any joints in either of the two rolls. While I did not use this as edge binding, it did serve my purpose and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to use it for dollhouse siding. Also, the quality was quite nice.

Works Really Well
I am almost through my roll of 3/4" pre-glued edge banding from Edge Supply and it has been working really well for me. I bought some more of the 3/4" and some of the 2" for a specialty project. The adhesion of the edge banding works perfectly for me every time. I just use a cheap iron to melt it on and the process is fast and I always feel confident in it. I have been trimming the banding to size with a utility knife and that works really well. It's close enough that I probably don't even need to sand it.The birch stains well and is a nice match for the Home Depot birch plywood sheets and complements the pine sheets nicely as well.Overall, I couldn't ask for a better product and it seems to be one of the less expensive brands as well.
