The stand is very sturdy. The long legs which provide the balance are somewhat of a tripping hazard, so the stand should be placed in an area outside of a pathway. I put it together by myself, but I definitely would recommend two people for the job. The pieces are heavy. The top piece that holds the swing wiggles a little if you swing to the side (as my grandchildren do) which is the only complaint that I have, but for normal sitting it works really well. I love the looks of the stand - goes great in my outdoor area.

The stand arrived quickly. After reading other comments, I didn't expect any problems putting it together. Some said it takes two people, but it didn't. (It was actually slower and more frustrating because impatient Hubby insisted on taking charge.) Two things that would have made it much easier: 1) the box arrived with a gouge in it, which made me nervous about damage. Sure enough, one of the base poles looked as though it was dented inward. The coating wasn't chipped or damaged but the slight dent it made it difficult to insert the pole (for screwing in). Using heavy pliers, Hubby was able to ease the metal outward into it's round shape just enough for the pole to be inserted. 2) Upon inserting another pole, we found that the opening for the screw wasn't bored wide enough. With a lot of effort, I finally got it flush so I could screw it in. The wingnut never went completely flush to the pole; there is a bit of a gap but the pole is in and not going anywhere. All in all, it's a very sturdy piece, looks like it will hold up outdoors very well. The swing arrives next week so I'm eager to see if it holds up. By the way, it's much taller and wider than we expected. I can't imagine using it indoors!

I did my research on these stands! This was the only one in this price range and lower that didn't mention tipping over or broken bones. The box took a beating in delivery but everything looked fine inside. It took about 15 minutes to unpack and assemble by myself with no problems. This stand is heavy and very sturdy! I feel completely safe using it! For my use, I'm very satisfied and happy I didn't go with a cheaper one.Note: I don't have children climbing all over it, but I do feel it's sturdy enough for responsible/supervised child's play on it. I don't personally think any of these stands are made for children tho.My only only complaint would be how much space it takes up. The legs are very long and it was hard to find a spot on our deck where no one could trip over them. That said, it's the lond legs that help make it so sturdy!All in all it's a great buy!!

I have an Orbit outdoor chair and the stand worked fine however UPON the first day while assembling it said to myself I wish the foot bottom was shaped in a U form and flat as it stick way out in front of an orbit chair which is bigger than most hanging chairsTwo hours later I walk out and stubbed my big toe on the base nearly loosing my entire nail so as far as design safety th base makes me nervous and I have no help taking it down and putting all back to ship back that I’m going to settle for it but it’s pretty sturdy and worked but cost me a lot of crying lol took pics of my toe but I posted the chair instead ha!

This stand is exactly what we wanted. I read many reviews on swing stands before buying and picked this one even though it is a bit more expensive. #1: This stand didn’t have reviews that say it tips over. Some buyers complain that it is too big, but I assume that is why it doesn’t tip. #2: It seemed to have the widest “C” shape. Other stands have complaints that you can’t swing without hitting the bar. It makes sense that you would need maximum “C” clearance in order to swing, and this stand allows you to swing pretty freely. #3: Our only complaint is that we couldn’t get one screw to thread in (threading wasn’t done properly and is shameful). My husband didn’t give up and worked hard to create a thread using a separate screw and wrench to force the torque. Sad that the manufacturer doesn’t have quality controls to verify that all holes are assembly ready (it made them loose a star). Conclusion: Despite this, we are very happy with the final assembled swing.

I wanted a hammock chair for my son's room, this chair turned out to be better than expected. The Denim matches his room that has navy and red bedding. I had originally intended to remove the netting/fringe, but my son said he liked it because it gave it a nautical look. This chair is very comfortable. Everyone loves sitting in it. My son will sit in it for hours reading. I will say that when my husband gets in it, he does not love it because his shoulders are wider and he says it feels like a straight jacket. The hardware does not come with the hammock. We purchased heavy duty hardware from the local hardware store. An 8-10 inch eye bolt, large carabiner and a heavy duty snap-hook with swivel. Husband engineered a crossbeam in the attic between the 2 trusses and secured the hook with lock washer/nut. Make sure that any hardware you buy is rated at least to the weight rating of the chair. We have 8 foot ceilings and the hardware I mentioned brings the chair down to the perfect height, we would not have room to add a rope or chain.

I bought myself a hammock chair and didn't want to make holes in my patio cover so I decided to try this hammock chair stand. It is very sturdy and allows you to sway in any direction. It held my and my 65 pound bulldog just fine. Only negative is that somehow the wind still manages to push it across my deck, with the hammock removed... but I imagine that would happen with any of them. Very pleased.

Very sturdy, super easy to assemble. As others have stated, the stand is large and you need a lot of space to be able to walk around the legs. Otherwise it is a trip hazard. Box was very heavy and was delivered about 60 ft from my door so I had my husband carry it to our door. Anyhow, the stand holds the chair perfectly well and allows a sense of security while sitting in the chair you attach to it.

Delivered very quickly, product is as described. It is strong and the swing chair fits very well. Strong and sturdy.

So far this seems to be great. I was surprised how much it sank once someone sate in it, so I had to mount it a bit higher. The ropes seem to have quite a bit of give to them. Other than that it's a beautiful & comfortable chair.

I LOVE this swing. It is by far one of my more beloved purchases from Amazon in the years I’ve been ordering.Pros: it came super fast, the material is very sturdy but also comfortable.Cons: the chair slides VERY easily on the bar which can result in falling. (I have mine very low to the ground luckily but any higher would likely result in an injury)I slapped some duct tape around the inside portion of the pole which has helped it not slide across anymore

We ordered this for a snugglepod swing chair for my daugher.Easy to put together, heavy metal parts. Not sure if it's the size or what, but it's a little bit rocky (we stuck a book under it to stop that), but it is definitely solid.Most would probably have this outside - it's inside in a room, we did put foam noodles around the legs, because it's so big it takes up a quarter of the room, and to protect our little one's legs/feet we've covered with the foam cushion to help.
