Iz, The Ukulele Songbook: Ukulele Tab Edition

This is a great book if you want to really get into the Hawaiian spirit and improve your playing skills. The TAB details are a great representation of IZ's playing and demonstrate his skill with compositions. Many phrases are unique and go beyond the usual repetitive playing of the instrument. The writers did a nice job of enhancing the music, but it does make these songs more difficult to learn. The last page has a great explanation of TAB and notation symbols for reference. Great mix of songs. This book may be overwhelming for beginners unless you already play other instruments and have basic music reading skills. Enjoy!

My wife an I fell in love with IZ"s music during our honeymoon 25 years ago. Unfortunately, we learned "Brodah IZ" had passed away. We bought all his albums. Now that I'm intermediate level with the Ukelele, I wanted to take my enjoyment of this music to the next level. The songs in this book are arranged from easier to more difficult in skill level. I recommend taking your time and learn each piece in order. BTW this also works for piano, strings duh. I recommend this book.

The music is written easily for advanced ukulele players.

Nice selection of songs, music and lyrics. I agree with another reviewer, it is mostly too advanced for my 'Ukulele skills, I've been playing just over a year. But I like the book, I attempt to play what I can, and look forward to one day being able to play it all. :)

My son loves it. He just started learning ukulele after some music lessons in school. Easy to follow and he was playing his ukulele like he has been playing for a while. Get the Aloha spirit into your home.

Wow, I had no idea how awesome this book is. It has everything I liked in a ukulele songbook: music notation and chords with ukulele chord chart right there above the music staffs. This songbook was made specifically for ukulele playing. I can’t wait to start playing!!!

I've bought a lot of ukulele song books and this production is easily the best of the bunch. The transcriptions were done with loving care and are surprising accurate and well presented in staff notation, TAB and chord symbols. The layout and graphics are nice. My only suggestion is this book would be easier to use if it was bound with a comb binding spine, allowing it to lay flat on a table or music stand.

If you’re looking for Iz tab, this is it. High quality tab.

Arrived early. Love the book, but I saw this book before I ordered, so I knew what I was getting.

当然ですが総て英語。 ただ、IZU自身がハワイ出身で楽曲も総て英語若しくはハワイ語なのでまったく問題ありません。 むしろ、安価に手に入れる事が出来て良かった位です。 楽譜も、指を押さえる図が載っているので、初心者にも十分対応してくれています。
