Nice
Size adjustment is spring loaded. Spring could be stiffer.

Love This Cedar Shoe Tree
When you open the box the smell of cedar wafts out. They're labeled left and right. I immediately inserted them into a pair of Thursday boots and they fit great and filled the toe box just so. The rope at the back does, in fact, ease removing them from boots. I purchased a pair of cedar shoe trees, for boots, that are tall. Now that I've tried these, I don't know which I like better. If you're looking for a quality shoe tree, at a fair price, you can't go wrong with these.

Be Careful With Sizing
These shoe trees appear to be good quality so I am pleased with the product in general. However, as one who wears a men’s size 11 shoe, I followed the size chart and bought a set of Large and they were way too small. Shoe trees are supposed to offer some “resistance” inside the shoe to keep the shoe stretched straight and tight. In my size 11 Rockport leather dress shoes, these size L shoe trees slipped in loosely with no effort and no need to compress the spring to make them fit. With the front of the tree inserted fully into the toe part of the shoe, the heel end of the tree didn’t even touch the back of the shoe. There was like 1/4 to 1/2 inch of room to spare. Normally you should need to compress the trees to make them fit. I ended up exchanging them for a size XL. We’ll see how those work out instead.UPDATE 12/22/2024:My size XL ones just arrived and fit my men’s size 11 dress shoes PERFECTLY.

Good choice
I prefer the extraction loop better than others that require hooking your fingers into a notch.

Did Not Fill Out the Toe Are Successfully
This split-toe shoe tree was a second purchase after I had bought (and returned) a non-split-toe version. Both did not adequately fill out the vamp (toe space) of the shoe thus also failing to smooth out the wrinkles in the leather crown and sides in that area. The shoe size ratings are misleading and I believe only indicate the associated length of the shoe tree from heel to toe. The wooden toe forms themselves appear to be the same size otherwise and can't address the various vamp height and width sizing in various shoe models (i.e. low profile oxford or roomy tennis shoes).I looked at numerous manufactures and they are all practically identical in design and sizing. So bottom line, these one-size-fits-all forms cannot accommodate and perform their task properly with all shoes styles.

Good shoe trees.
These cedar shoe trees are very good - sturdy and well-constructed with a bit of natural cedar fragrance. No plastic parts.

Fits nice, good quality
I like the fit. I have size 12 shoes and bought extra large, (I think that was recommended). Anyway, They fit nice. The quality of the wood and how it was put together is good. I wanted to keep my dress shoes fit to form, plus make it easier to polish my shoes when the leather is stretched and smooth. These shoe trees do this adequately. For the money they are a good value. If I buy more dress shoes I wouldn't hesitate to buy these shoe trees again!
