Just got this product in the mail and bought new batteries. Hung it up on the fence and for a week the nieghbors dog barks right next to it. I jumped up the setting and still does nothing. I truly just want to get some sleep and still have not been able to.

You know the drill: New neighbor moves in. Everyone is nice and welcoming. Then you realize that they have a psycho-demon beast from hell masquerading as a dog. This hound absolutely loses its mind whenever a person comes within 60' of the house, even on the other side of the street. Forget the sorry bastard who has to deliver the mail or -- god forbid -- a pizza. It goes off like a fire alarm in the early morning right under my bedroom window, which I maybe sometimes like to keep open in the nice weather. Good luck getting back to sleep. Anyhoo, my nephew says his friend's friend got one of these and it saved them from having to move to another state, etc. etc. I was doubtful, but for the money it sure beat going over and knocking on their door to have a conversation like mature adults.Well, I cannot say that the devil's spawn has stopped barking, but he does all that on the other side of their house now, for the other neighbors to deal with. I followed the directions on the box, then tie-wrapped it to a fence post under my window, turned up to 11. Honestly, I can't hear the thing go off, but my rock-n-roll ears can't hear anything higher pitched than a Harley anyway. It's been a few weeks now and no more waking up ready to kill. Even better, the neighbor seems to be right cordial -- nay, downright contrite -- when we meet n' greet out on the street. Maybe he's got dog style hearing too?I would call this an excellent investment.

This item works great. My yappy dogs shut up when it goes off. It is a bit sensitive, so using in the house on automatic may cause problems if people are in the house. We turned it on manually when they start barking and it works great.The only downfall is one of my dogs is overly sensitive/emotional. Whenever it would go off, she would freak out and hide. The other dog just stopped barking and looked around. Because of our one dog's reaction, we are not able to use it.

Tried for two weeks. Did NOT work. Adjusted placement heights and distances as well as sensitivity. The self test on the unit says it is working but my dogs still bark.

And does the job helps the neighbors dog from not barking all the time but not as much as I would have liked it to

The unit worked for a while to stop our dogs from barking, but after several days, they simply ignored it.

I have another toward the front of my home and have something to compare this to. I am thrilled with this. Great on battery life, works well stopping the crew from barking. One of the most humane ways to silence barkers.

Did not get the dogs to stop barking. In the house or outside. Sent it back today.
