Jobe’s 1611 evergreen outdoor fertilizer food spikes, 15 pack is an awesome fertilizer that works as advertised. Having an evergreen outdoor is really beautiful to look at and having a fertilizer such as this one to help you realize this is great. I have used this outdoor fertilizer for some time now and the results are impressive to say the least. The fertilizer goes for $8.97. This is an incredible price bearing in mind that the fertilizer works as expected. It is always not true that you get what you pay for as attested by this fertilizer. There are admittedly other pricier fertilizers out there but I believe the fertilizer works the same way as the pricey ones. The fertilizer reaches the roots and feeds nutrients to the trees and shrubs. You will be amazed at how effective this fertilizer is. You will notice its benefits in no time. The soil has nutrients but there are so many other organisms that compete for these nutrients and there are instances in which the trees and shrubs will not find adequate nutrients and that is where this fertilizer comes into play. As you might have guessed, this is a slow release formula and you should factor in patience as you wait for this fertilizer to work. It is not a miracle fertilizer and you can only expect it to work after a given period of time. Bottom line is that this fertilizer will eventually work. It is also very easy to use to the fertilizer and you should simply follow the listed instructions. Everything about the fertilizer is pretty straightforward and you shouldn’t get stuck or even get frustrated that you can’t seem to get it right. The only requirement is that you follow the instructions and you will be good to go. There is a continuous supply of nutrients even after you exhaust this supply. I normally use this fertilizer after every 3 months and the results have been stunning to say the least. The only thing is that you should adhere to is the instructions. I love the way the trees are always green even during the summer months where the trees turn to brown. Lawns and gardens should be evergreen and this fertilizer delivers. I love the fertilizer and I don’t have a problem recommending it to anyone looking for a potent fertilizer that is also economical. Highly recommended!!!

I have used it on my trees for two years and they are very happy. Tried using it on su one shrubs and it burned the leaves on some and not on another variety. Split it in half the next year and still burned. Make sure you do proper research on your plants to not have this happen.

I have tried other brands of fertilizer spikes, bulk brands too, but none perform quite as well as Jobe's. This slow-release formula works best at the trees’ active roots located at the drip line of each tree (farthest low-hanging branch). I use a WoodOwl 03719 Tri-Cut 1-1/2"x7-1/2" Nail Chipper Auger Bit in my DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cordless Impact Wrench with 7/16 Quick Release Chuck to pierce a hole in the ground for the spike, which at 7.5 inches, is sufficiently below the surface. Easy peasy. I used to use a concrete chisel to bore a hole, but ended up destroying the spike before it was installed deep enough. The following Spring, dark green grass spots appeared where the fertilizer spike exploded. Looked like a dog had been visiting which is not a good visual. These must be pushed below the grass root line without fragmenting. That's always the biggest challenge. Besides my blue spruces, these stakes provide the best time-released fertilizer for your citrus or fruit trees. I’ve tried the “dust” and the “granules” and these stakes have produced the best fruit so far. I’ve been using them going 12 years now. Overall, I strongly recommend this brand of fertilizer spike to anyone asking. 👍

I used these when I lived in the US and they were great. So glad I finally found them in the UK,, but they are more expensive here. Regardless, they do a great job feeding the trees and shrubs and I will continue to use them.
