Patterns M6015 Infants' Lined Dresses, Panties and Headband

I haven’t seven in 35 years but decided to give it a try again since we have a grand baby on the way. It was actually quite easy and turned out si cute!! The floral one was a size small and the bright one with oranges is a size large.

The reasons I chose this pattern were: 1) to use a border print eyelet fabric that I have, 2) it said it was easy, and 3) it has sleeves. I ended up using another fabric besides the border print. It wasn't as easy as I had hoped. The sleeves were especially hard. I think there must be an easier say to sew the sleeves besides trying to sew them in the very small armhole opening. I also had a problem getting the zipper in nicely, but I think that had something to do with the fabric choice. Overall, I would not consider this an easy pattern. But, despite everything, the end product looked very, very nice.

The pattern sizes from newborn to 18 months. I used contrast so I could add embroidery to front. There are options for sleeves, contrast or eyelets. It is easy for beginners to make and results are great!

I made two dresses from this pattern for my granddaughters and the sizing was spot on. The directions were a bit difficult to understand at times but I think that’s because I’m relatively new to sewing. The dresses turned out beautifully and I will be using this pattern again.
