Great storage upgrade solution.
Plug in & play. It works great & I received it earlier than expected.

It's NVMe to PCie 3.0 x1 adapter
Pretty much as the title of this review says. This card slots into a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, and thus forces any NVMe SSD to run at those speeds--with a max theoretical of 1GB/s. But realistically, you're going to have to expect less than that. It's worth to note that this is being installed in a ROG Strix B550-F Gaming motherboard. The SSD installed in this adapter card is, at the time of writing, a Western Digital Blue SN570 1TB NVMe.All is working as expected, no additional drivers were needed. It comes with additional/spare screws, and a low profile bracket--straight forward to install. The only gripe I have is blue indicator lights on the board itself. I may, at some point, design and 3D print some kind of shroud to block those lights since it clashes with the aesthetic of my rig.

Used Windows Disk Management to set up a new SSD and it worked straight away.
I needed to add a backup SSD to my PC. Only had the one basic PCI slot on my motherboard – PCI EX 1 slot but this interface card fitted no problem – you have to be aware M2 devices vary in fitting and different types will interface to different peripherals.Once I had initialised/formatted the disk in Windows and set it as a New Volume the SSD worked straight away and I am pleased with the back up speeds I am getting.A great way to get an extra .M2 device onto your PC at minimal cost.Of course I don't know if it will ultimately prove reliable only time will tell so four stars for now but otherwise can't fault it.

Does what it says
This adapter card was received before the promised date, in good order. Fitting the SSD memory (purchased separately) was easy using the supplied fasteners, and the assembled card worked first time once installed onto the computer motherboard.Note: This card/SSD unit was purchased to make the operating system 'solid state'. If you are doing the same you may need to enable UEFI and format the device as GPT - older motherboards (say, before 2015) may not allow this

Slow compared to other PCI 3 adapter cards
I feel misled by the description of this card. It didn't properly highlight that it uses 1 yes just *1* PCI lane rather than the 4 you would normally want to use with a PCIE 3 NVME adapter. (Check the pins in the image if you want to verify for yourself) The net result is that it maxes out at about ~890 Mb read / write. Certainly faster than a SATA SSD, but not the best option for your shiny new Samsung 980 Pro which runs at about 3700 MB over a PCI 3 bus. So now I've bought a different nvme adapter card that gives four times the performance for about the same price.

As an engineer, I was duly impressed.
As an engineer, I was duly impressed. More so when I found a small envelope containing a spare brass threaded insert with securing brass nut. Moreover a spare threaded screw was also included. Very easy to insert the SSD and likewise to fit into the PC slot. All round excellent product. Thank you!PS My photo includes an SSD which is not included with the holder!

Easy to use
These are great. I have a ASRock H110 with 19 PCIe slots so I can run a nice fileserver.
