This trimmer works well when held vertically.
This is a relatively light weight product intended for soft plant tissue. It makes it clear that it isn't for sturdy twigs. It is not lightweight after half an hour's work trimming a 6m high hedge at full arms length! I does the job but I need to do a bit at a time, but don't try to cut at an angle. Keep below the pole and just put up with being cascaded with bits of hedge. It becomes very hard work if you try to cut with the pole sloping.
