Great price - does the job
First off, I have to face the fact that at present, there seems to be no perfect bunion, toe-straightener gizmo on the market. This particular product is really inexpensive. You even get two in the package. Do not expect them to look like the picture on the front which is more of the style of the Footsmart one. No, these are made of cheaper plastic. I've tried the Footsmart one. It has it's good points and it's bad points just like this cheaper one. I did think the foam around the big toe on the expensive Footsmart one came off WAY faster than it should have, but of course, I do own glue and could fix that. These cheaper plastic ones hold my toe in the correct alignment more securely, but, even though you are not supposed to walk around with any of these types of splints on, lets face it: you have to. No one is going to dismantle the thing to get up for the bathroom or to let the cat out. One time I snapped the bottom piece off of one of these cheap splints because I was not hobbling around carefully enough. This will likely never happen with the Footsmart one, because the plastic is a little more flexible, but again, it does not hold the toe in alignment as securely, because of the flexibility of the plastic. All of the splints I have ever used required me to jury-rig some extra padding around my foot with whatever foam and soft things I can find around the house because they cut into your skin something awful. I also had my foot fall asleep once or twice for having one on too tight - slightly disconcerting. All in all, when you need to get your toe shoved into the proper position for an extended period, either in the hopes that perhaps your toe will eventually train itself to align a bit more correctly, or because of the simple pain relief it sometimes can give to your bunion, these splints do the job, albeit not so perfectly. At least someone in China or somewhere else realized it should not cost an arm and a leg for a tiny bit of plastic and velcro.

Actually work better than expected
Bunions are a real problem and mine were seriously aggravated by leather shoes whose toe section is too skimpy (and for some reason I didn't realize the damage this would do). Now what to do about it? Looked for information on the Internet and discovered how tricky this situation can be. And am certainly not wanting a surgical solution! So these weren't too expensive and appeared to be designed to relieve inflamed bursae, so I sent for them after determining that I couldn't get anything locally. They turned out to be kind of a Rube Goldberg contraption. It took a bit of trial and error to get them on correctly. I have large feet and mine fit fine. Then I discovered that I need to wear socks over them to bed or they will catch in the bedclothes, and that as stated, I can't walk in them - must remove them if I want to get up during the night.Of course the bottom line is whether they work, and this they seem to do. I definitely noticed improvement in the bunion situation after only a few nights of use. And the improvement has been lasting for many months - so I am pleased to report. At initial use I found the unaccustomed contraptions on my feet interfered with sleep but within a couple of nights I was used to that; my advice would be to persevere in their use. And don't walk in them! They aren't designed for that and will break.

Worth a try
I just started using these about two weeks ago.I use them only when I go to bed - as per the instructions. Contrary to others' experiences here: - I do not need a sock, - they do not get caught in the sheets and - they are not uncomfortable. The velcro straps and plastic are soft and pliable. - If I do have to get up in the middle of the night, I just walk a little more slowly and don't stomp around. The enclosed illustrations make it pretty simple to understand how to get them on.They seem totally durable to me... not sure why others complain about the "cheap" plastic.I make them fairly tight and the first couple nights, I did have a bit of sensation by the morning -- but I barely notice that they're on now.I'd give them 5 stars but I don't know yet if they will actually eliminate or even mitigate my bunion. In any case, they are certainly worth a try.

One size fits all
This product is exactly what it says it is. Compared to the Footsmart brand, it does appear to be of lesser quality, but does the same thing. It is a little tricky at first to figure out how to put it on, but it serves its purpose. The footsmart seems stronger, but not sure by how much. For the price, this product is totally worth it! The straps are really long, but I can cut them. The Footsmart brand offers theirs in different sizes. When it comes time to buy a replacement, I will be hard-pressed to decide whether to spend double the money for the Footsmart when this works just as well, though often the Footsmart one tends to hurt the side of my big toe, like an ingrown toenail. This brand doesn't seem to that. Maybe if this is the first time buying a product like this, try this brand since it's cheaper and then try the more expensive one next time. It may end just being a matter of preference.

Anything I ordered fro bunion seems like is made for giant feet
Anything I ordered fro bunion seems like is made for giant feet. The grip for this product around my feet to create enough gap between the Big toe and other toes, just doesn't work. The velcro is too big and by the end i have nothing to hook it to. Didn't like it. for now I will keep it, returning is a hassle too.

It's fine but I feel like it doesn't go tight enough to make any real change to my foot. It does help somewhat, though.

Toe splint
This product is simple to use and given an appropriate amount of time I'm confident it will help to correct the alignment of my toe.
