Soft and works great
Very soft bristles. Seems to be a quality brush. Lathers up nicely and is easy to shave with. I like this and shave soap better than shave cream and takes the same amount of time.

Perhaps I am learning and adjusting but not sure I will continue UPDATED July 2024
My late father used a shaving brush and I still have the handle from MANY years ago. I am not sure what prompted me to finally buy one of my own. I got this and it is beautiful to look at. However when I started using it I broke out almost immediately. After about three weeks I put it away but decided to try again about 4 months ago. I did not break out but it is shedding. In the last month I have long and short hairs/bristles every time I shave. I am using an olive oil soap and whisk it gently in the palm of my hand. I do like the lather but am not pleased at the loss of bristles this soon. I will see how long it lasts before I decide if I will buy again. (Online it says at least two years... and often longer... this is far less).UPDATE: It is now July 2024 and after losing bristles as it was getting broken in, it has been stable for a while and works well. At this point I would recommend this.

Surprising Good Brush
I purchased this badger hair shaving brush for my toiletries bag for travel. And I have been using it at home to break it in before I travel in late April. And I am very pleasantly surprised at the quality. It not a Simpson or even a Parker, but it’s a marvelous little brush with soft Badger Hair, a nice little knot that does not shed. It feel very nice, lathers up my shaving soaps and cream very nicely and does the job. And for the price… this little brush is an amazing value. Very happy with my purchase.

Incredibly Soft, Comfortable, Value for Money
The bristles are incredibly soft and the brush maintains its shape after each use. No weird smells or sharpness. A complete pleasure to use.I've been using it for 2 weeks so I cannot comment on what some have regarding the paint cracking. I would recommend not submerging this completely in water to preserve the product life -- this includes the handle and the area the bristles connect into the handle. I haven't really experienced loose pieces coming out. A possible explanation is some buyers are not properly blooming their shave soaps and lathering too aggressively. Also, don't forget to wet the brush. After each use you should either use a mount or lay it on its side. If you lay it directly on the brush side when wet it'll ruin the spread of the bristles. For a price near 10 bucks this is an absolute bargain and functions just fine. A great introductory buy to get into this kind of shaving without breaking the bank.

Great Brush, saves you some dough, loads well!
What I like:Loads well, inexpensiveWhat I haven't seen that others complained about:I did not have any sort of foul smell emitting from my brush.I have not had hairs falling out en masse. In fact, I can say I have only noticed 3 hairs coming out of it. Quite easily within the threshold of normal. I have put it in water hotter than some have recommended. Why not? It wasn't $250+, right!?! I try not to soaking in steaming water, though. Glues have a tolerance that can be reached. Don't want to push it too much.I also haven't noticed anything else negative reports have, um, reported... Best brush ever made? Probably wouldn't get a lot of believers in a statement like that. But, worth the asking price? Absolutely! You can spend more for just as good, or worse quality. 15 bucks, hell yeah! Get it! Unless you are an absolute brush snob, you may then not appreciate what it is, in which case, you do need to spend more to get whatever it is you are seeking in a brush. For the rest of you, I will say I am quite satisfied with what I received.

Wow I relly LOVE this shaving brush
Wow I relly LOVE this shaving brush. I bought a shaving soap kit a few months back that came with it's own soap brush. When I first started to use the brush I noticed that bristles would come off each time I used it. I'd find the bristles in the sink, my razor blade, my beard, everywhere. Also I thought the bristles were too stiff for my liking. I did a search on Amazon and found the Shaveway Badger Shaving Brush. It was under $10 and had a 4.5 star rating with almost 600 reviews. I figured for the cost it couldn't be any worse than what I was already using.I bought the natural color. The wood looks beautiful. It's a very light brown color and must have laquer or something like that applied because it has a shine to it that looks great. I feel in love with it when I touched those badger bristles! They were SO SMOOTH & SOFT compared to my other brush. I jumped into the shower, wet the brush, swirled it around my shaving soap cup and applied the shaving soap to my neck. It was beautiful! It was very smooth on my skin, the lather was full and there was plenty in the brush to cover my neck. I wear a full beard but shave my neck, so getting a good lather is important to me. Not enough and I'm cutting my Adam's apple and ripping the skin off my neck. The best thing was that I didn't find an bristles in my beard, on my face, or in my razor. For $10 you wil not find a better shaving brush.

Overall satisfied, but had to untangle... twice!
It has good backbone, creates great lather. The handle is perfect for my hand. The price is awesome. I got rid of the smell pretty quick with hair shampoo and soaking it in water/vinegar solution, done. The hair length is not even, not a fan or bulb shape, kind of messy. If it visually bothers you, then do not buy it. I just use it as a workhorse for my everyday shave, and does its job. Now, I saw (twice) what never thought could happen. While applying the lather to my face THE HAIRS GOT TANGLED. I don't know if it is the longer hairs in the middle, the hairs being a little stiffer, the hairs being longer or me applying too much pressure. But, this never happened with my previous brush (from Art of Shaving). I had to sit (twice) with vitamin E oil, a comb and patience to untangle it. I noticed though that both times that happened I used circular motion while applying the lather. Since then, I'm wrapping my index finger around the hairs base, or just use back/forth up/down motion.
