CNOR Exam Secrets Study Guide: CNOR Test Review for the CNOR Exam

Passed the CNOR exam last week. This book along with mometrix's CNOR question book, & upward mobility iPhone app. These study materials were all I needed to study. I did a lot of note taking and some very in depth reviewing when completing the rationals though. I studied for about a month and half while on assignment as a traveler. I just got to the point where I just kept seeing the same info over and over again. The test itself ended up being very simple, broad concepts, without crazy specific stuff. In your studies if you see a concept more than a couple times - know that concept inside and out, but if you're getting these random questions about stuff you've never heard of - well just hope you know that random question on the actual test & just skip trying to learn everything in the world about tetralogy of fallot or those ophthalmic surgical techniques that you'll never use. You'll either miss 1 or 2 questions or not even get questions on them. Either way don't waste your time and anxiety over those scenarios. I had the CCI study book, I believe it is 1 older from the newest, but it was garbage & didn't help at all - I mean about 25% of the book was useful - I threw it away. There currently is now a CNOR question app that has over 600 questions & has amazing reviews - I was leaving that in my back pocket if I failed & needed some additional study material. I'd say skip the seminars - you're already a proven nurse, you can do this - set the date, study a ton for 2 months, and take the test. Use the mometrix books and as many different question materials you can utilize within your time. You'll start to see the reoccurring concepts - know those.

Being a Perioperative RN, I’m excited and eager to start studying for the CNOR exam. But, when I read the outline on other programs like cci and AORN, it seems overwhelming and I feel scattered for me just to know where to start. Seems like a huge mountain. With this book, it cuts right into the bulk of what to study. To be totally honest, this book has made it sooooo much easier to even start studying. Like a tour guide to what’s going on. Much more direct! And they have a free dvd and threw in a cool gift.

Having just started reviewing this book, I posted a 4-star-rating; however, I believe that will increase to a "5". This book was purchased because of recommendations from peers; thus, my purchase. I would like to especially note the "Table ofContents", which is arranged in a logical and progressive manner; areas I wish to concentrate on, are easily identified and clearly noted.ETH, RN, RM-C, BSN

I used this book along with the question only book by the same company and passed the CNOR 1st time. I was abke to take the question book out from the library and I also was able to read the book published by CCI which I thought the material was good, but the questions and answers were wrong on quite a few scenarios. The Secrets book had 200 questions and the question book had 400 questions. Great info and rationales. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great study guide. The information is organized in a clear manner that makes sense. The practice test at the end helped me to identify the areas I needed to spend more time on. Having all the information laid out in front of me helped me to build confidence in myself and feel that I'm fully prepared to take the CNOR exam.

I compliment the layout of the book with each area separated with bullet points. It's simple, factual and has prepared me for some areas I have not thought about in awhile. The testing tips on reading the questions and when not sure, to review each answer was helpful. I also found the prefixes, suffixes can and will help when stuck on a question. Basically the book helps you slow your brain down and help you think through every question logically. So far so good! Love the book

I think that this book is going to be very helpful in studyingfor the CNOR exam. There is A LOT of information in this book.

I think it is good, I've not been motivated to read it all just yet.
