Good, bright headlights.
Used these in my 1999 VFR800 with the Goldwing adapter. They work great and provide plenty of light.

Bright enough you can see the future.
Not DOT approved and I can see why. But if you wanna be seen on your bike ….get some !

Nice quality bulbs.
Nice quality bulbs. They get hot but seem to work fine in my Hella housings.

Not as bright as a 130W should be!
I had high hopes when i bought 5 of these last year. I have used Philips 130/100 and 100/90 higher wattage bulbs before i ordered these. The reason why i went for 130/90 Hellas are solely because of the wide gap in high and low wattage ratings. I wanted low beam performance of only 90watts (since low beam is what i use mostly) and high beam performance of 130W as and when required. With Philips 100/90 the high beam was only 100W and with Philips 130/100 the low beam was a scorching 100W. I was scared of using the 100W low beam in 130/100 Philips fearing it would burn my plastic headlamp assy and high beam could've been better in 100/90 philips - or so i thought. So what i needed was a 130/90 bulb. Searched far and wide for a Philips 130/90 but i couldn't find one and thats when i landed on Hella 130/90. Perfect combination, thats what i thought. But unfortunately the Hella disappointed. It was a major disappointment. The low beam was OK, but the high beam was a disappointment compared to my Philips 100/90. The Hella burn slightly more yellowish which is fine, but the intensity is not even as good as the Philips 100/90 bulbs. Compared to Philips 100/90 the Hella 130/90 was a downgrade in illumination for me. And to Philips 130/100 the Hella 130/90 is not even a competition.Notes:* Hella 130/90 has a bigger glass capsule compared to both Philips 100/90 and 130/100.* Hella 130/90 i bought are made in India.* The beam laid down on the road is better with both Philips.* The high beam of the Philips bulbs reach out farther and they feel brighter.* The Philips Xtreme Vision +100 55/60 puts out as much light as these Hellas. I have a pair of them too.* Relay and thicker wiring is a must to use higher wattage bulbs. Don't run these on stock wiring.* 130/100 is damaging to plastic reflectors (plastic lenses? i know not). The plastic reflector in my car's headlight assy has developed a kind of crackling on the silver surface just above the low beam focusing area. This i observed after using Philips 130/100.If you are looking for a higher wattage bulbs try to seek out Philips 100/90 or 130/100 both of these bulbs outperform the Hella mentioned in this review.

The way to go
I bought the H4 130/90 watt bulbs and put them in 7” Hella E-code housings for my Jeep TJ. This is the way to go folks. Amazing results. I was running Hella 60/55 in polycarbonate KC housings. I also tried Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 LEDs in the KC housings. The light pattern was just terrible. The Hella e-code/130-90watt set up is the best lighting you can get for the TJ. I installed the ARB heavy duty headlight wiring harness as well. Works great couldn’t be happier. Does not blind oncoming traffic if you aim them properly. I haven’t been “flashed” once and I have 6” lift and 35” tires

Very bright
Tacoma headlights are notoriously. Not that bright. Adding these bulbs to them really brighten them up. Both low beam and high beam. My high beam distance has just about doubled and is quite bright. It illuminates about or 900 feet down the road. Granted, they're not super bright at that distance, but compared to the stock bulbs the came with my headlamps the difference is night and day. Pun intended. 🙂

Great bulb, but not necessarily long lasting
These bulbs are great and allow me to see a lot more than stock bulbs. I used these to replace LEDs I had, which were very bright, but didn’t shine as far and would blind oncoming traffic, not to mention didn’t allow me to use my brights.I highly recommend these if your wiring can handle the extra wattage. However, one downside is the shorter life. I installed a pair and one side went out (brights still worked) after 3 months (4,300 miles driven). Even with the short life, i prefer these overall as they are much brighter and cheaper than standard wattage bulbs.Hopefully my 2nd pair will last longer than 3 months.
