Intex 28051 Solar Roller

Have one of these for a 13ft x 7ft pop up pool used for excerxize and is great to able to roll back the cover to use the pool. Previously was quite an ordeal to uncover and recover the pool. Great it’s adjustable width to match the pool. Easy to assemble and fit

First ever piece that arrived amongst all my pool related order. It was easy to connect the roller poles. But you would need a good idea of how long you’d need. It is not something you can fix to a length whilst you haven’t got the pool. As we have assembled it without the pool we anticipated how much poles we would need. We actually didn’t use one of the poles (we got the 18ft x 9ft x 4ft bestway pool). As we have a 500micron solar sheet of 20ft x12ft we knew we have to cut it down. So we ended up mounting the roller on a make shift stand, longer that the width of the pool, so we could spread the solar sheet on top of it. We measured and cut it in this set up. Once we got the size we wanted we just adjusted the length to attach it to the bars of the pool. And that’s it. It’s easy to roll in and out. Also, as our sheet is quite thick we needed to punch a whole so that the locking bit of the clip would work. But once this is all done, it works well.

Easy to assemble but could be stronger as it droops in the middle even without the cover on. Ok for the price and quality.

Got it on my INTEX rectangle pool, rolls up the cover nicely, saves having to find a place to put the cover when the pool is in use. Very good!

Last year I has a smaller Intex pool and getting the solar cover on and off was really bad because it got dirty too quickly and was hard to store somewhere...this year as I was getting a bigger pool I needed to invest in something easier, I found this roller...now my pool is still not as big as the minimum requirements but we have it fixed up OK and it works...we didn't use all the poles and one end isn't totally clicked in properly but it's working and it's brilliant, it will be dismantled in autumn anyway to makeway for the winter cover...my pool is 2m wide by 4m long

Great product for the price. Rolls out really easy. Rolls in really easy. Best if 2 on the outside but can easily be done by 1 inside the pool. We have a heater and it set to 30c. Heater on 10pm till 10am . The cover will keep it 30c till kids home from school. By 10pm it's usually 29c. Thats with outside temp ranging from 14c to 22c in the lovely tropical UK

We love it!!! Easy to install and fits our pool even though it’s smaller than it says it goes …… it was easy to adjust and took 20 mins to get setup. It’s sturdy and easy to operate

I love this pool reel! It was super easy to install. You place each Of the end pieces over the pool frame and manually tighten the two screws for each side. One side is a lockable reel, and the other side is an end piece. Next, you insert the adjustable poles to determine the correct width to fit between the ends. A tip is to measure across the pole to evenly space out the six cords that will be clipped and punctured through your solar pool cover. I attached my first cords 12” from each end to give the solar cover some space to adjust and not get caught on the ends as you reel it up. Then I divided the remaining space by four to place the other four cords. The first 20’ of length worked really well. The last five feet had a little resistance from the sheer volume of the solar pool cover 12’x25’ and catching a little bit on the ends. My daughter helped me to insert the pole, add the puncture clips to the solar cover, and reel in the first time. Now, one person can easily wind it up or unwind it. I always leave about a foot wound up just so that I don’t need a second person to help me to wind it back up. This reel is designed for a rectangular pool. I didn’t realize that my pool is not perfectly rectangular, until it arrived. My pool has rounded corners, which doesn’t work well with the design. I simply placed the reel and end on the last straight part, opposite each other, before the curve started. I lost about one foot from my pool, but it still is worth it to me. I was concerned about ordering something made out of plastic. I don’t know how long it will last, and I hate to add more plastic to our environment. However, it is super thick. It’s at least 1 1/2” thick in the narrowest areas. I’m tired of rolling up my solar cover to use my pool. I’ve been manually rolling it up for 16 months. I finally decided that I was worth the price of making it easier for me to use my pool. I’m so happy that I treated myself! This reel is so easy to use! I use it nearly daily.
