Works as intended, good quality item.

I had bought a couple of media carts from a second hand store that didn't come with keys. The doors wouldn't stay closed unless they were locked. I bought these to replace the existing looks. They were very easy to put in and the color matches better than the originals.

I got this to use on an arcade cabinet that I'm building. The paint is pretty pitiful. One super-thin coat on bare metal. It had visible scratches on it out of the box. The attached picture is how it looked after putting the key in it once to make sure it worked properly. I can only assume that after a month of use this thing is going to look like hell. That said, the lock itself is fine quality and made out of sturdy materials with tight tolerances and flawless function.

During a recent move we managed to lose the keys to a gun cabinet. A local locksmith wanted about $60 to come out and re-key the locks. A little bit of research indicated I could replace the original locks for about a quarter of that price. A search on the cylinder size and the keywords "keyed alike" (so both locks would operate with a single key) turned up these locks.The locks appear to be well-built. They both operated smoothly with all of the provided keys without any lubrication. They were simple to install in the original holes in the cabinet and worked perfectly right off the bat.The only way they could have been better is if they had been available in an antique bronze finish to match the originals, but the black still looks good with the cabinet and its hardware.

looks as expected but striped the nut out and didn't even halve it all the tight so i used the old nut in behind for back up ,worked out good.
