FAITHLESS #3 STNDRD (MR) [Comic] Brian Azzarello

The artwork is a lovely sensual style of rendering the form; however, it is nearly pornographic at points. If you like the work of Milo Manara, then I think there is a good chance you will like that; however if you find that repulsive, than you probably won't like this. The style is overall a hybrid of Italian comic style influences like Manara and Crepax with Japanese manga influences, along with an incredible sensitivity toward contemporary fashion. I could see the artist doing fashion sketches.The story is decent, involving the corruption/seduction of a young woman of magical ability. The magic and horror elements do in some ways seem tied to the developing gender fluid sexuality of the main character, and gives it something of a magical realism feel.The motivations and true natures of many of the people are left mysterious, but this seems to be just setting up for a long series where these mysteries will likely resolve and new ones appear.

I was nervous purchasing this, but it came in great condition and on time.

The art style is insane. I love it.

I can't say for sure I know what happened here and I can definitely say I don't know why. Azzarello pens an erotic story about art and loss and...stuff. Yeah, good question. There were some inventive panels here as the art was unique and memorable. This wasn't a bad book but its certainly not going to be for everyone. I wished I understood it better.

This comic is gorgeous. The illustrations and color work are fantastic. The story is unique and it grabbed my attention right away, I finished this in one sitting. Might not be everyone’s taste but I loved it.
