Theses shorts got everything right for me. The leg opening are big enough and don't slip. The waist is comfortable and has a drawstring to really hold in place. They are really long compared to many styles and I find that's more comfortable. And they have a cute color and style (purple version). Oh, and we're talking SUPER padded!

Let’s start with the fact that I’m disabled. I have myriad medical issues and many of them cause chronic pain and my body can overreact to painful stimuli sometimes. I recently purchased a tricycle so I can do some low impact exercise. My first ride went great until I finished the 3 mile ride and got off the bike. It felt like someone nailed my crotch and butt with a sledgehammer. I couldn’t sit for a few days without wincing. I even sat on an ice pack to help reduce the pain! I had a friend tell me to get padded shorts. She said they feel really weird but work great. After browsing many products and reviews I settled on these. They were within my price range with great reviews and it helped that they’re super cute!I just got back from my first ride with them an hour ago and my butt doesn’t hurt at all! My crotch hurt a little bit while I was riding (I recently passed a kidney stone so that whole area is still a little sensitive) but as soon as I got off the bike that pain went away. I love the back cell phone pocket and it was big enough for my iPhone XR. It was easy to access while riding but kept my phone plenty secure.Now, I had a hysterectomy 3 months ago so I still have a lot of abdominal swelling. I’m 5’11” and currently fluctuating between 210-220. I ordered the XXL and while it doesn’t LOOK flattering on my swollen belly, it doesn’t hurt at all and aside from the appearance the fit is great. I just wore a loose tank top and you couldn’t even tell I looked like a turd someone was trying to pinch off in the middle. They came up to around my belly button and they didn’t roll down or dig in while I was riding. The legs also stayed in place and were very comfortable.Now I don’t sweat (yes that’s a thing, no it isn’t awesome because sweating cools your body down, so I overheat really bad and really easily) so I can’t speak for how breathable they are. But they seemed very light and didn’t make me more hot than I would normally be.Oh and yes they do feel weird to walk in but you’ll get used to it.TLDR they’re very comfortable, protect your crotch region and butt, and they’re cute! BUY THEM!

While I think these shorts would work fine for someone that sits upright on her bike, they won't do at all for someone such as myself that leans forward. Also definitely not for a Selle SMP bike seat as one sits more in the crotch area than on the isicheal crests.The pad on the sit bones was crazy thick. It should work well for someone that sits on that area. Unfortunately, the pad in the crotch area, where I need the padding, wouldn't cover my daughter at a few months old, much less a grown woman. Perfect if one does not need the pad on the sides as it won't bunch too badly in the interior leg. Unfortunately, that is part of the area that I need padding.These aren't super high quality shorts, but much better than I expected for the price.Also, the chart was off as my waist size indicated I needed an XXXLarge. I ordered a plain Large and they still swallowed me. If I'd liked the pad, I think I would have needed a medium and maybe even a small. I think the size chart is way off for at least the pair designated as "Dark Blue" that has the mesh. This model also had the turquoise pad. Those with a pink pad may be entirely different as I do not know as I only ordered the pair with the turquoise pad.UPDATE: I've had several people ask me what shorts I finally settled upon. I ended up ordering the Endura FS-260 Pro Wide Chamois bibs here on Amazon. They were pricey at $189, but worth every penny. Endura seems to understand that women come in different bone widths enabling one to order chamois that are wide, medium, or narrow. I've ordered a second pair and plan to buy more. The Enduras have a zipper that unzips around the rear so that the seat drops to enable going to the bathroom without stripping naked. The chamois was indeed wide and covered all of my sit bones and sit areas while still being comfortable! The only chamois that actually did this for me. I can't begin to rave enough about these bibs. I have spent thousands trying to find the perfect bibs for my old, butt and have finally found success. The do seem to run big as I had to order a small; so if you order a pair be aware.

I’m in love and so grateful for the designer of these shorts who knows plus size women’s bodies. I’ve tried three different pairs, one from rei, one from back country, but these are my favorite. The length of the leg doesn’t squeeze too tightly and hits at the right spot.Same with the waist. I’m comfortable in these, they don’t squeeze my tummy ( or go clear to my ribs like one of the orthers I tried).The chamois padding has been fine for my 1-2 hr rides. (If you have any issues check into your seat, measure your sit bones and make sure you are sitting with the sit bones in the right position). The shorts padding lined up perfectly where I needed it. Awesome shorts!

Fits a little small but I lost weight so it all worked out. Great for long or all day rides.

Good shorts, I have bigger legs and they are a bit snug at the bottom of the leg.

These are great cycling shorts. They look good and feel good cycling. I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs. I chose the XL as I have a thick waistline but narrow hips. They fit well but a L would work for someone more trim.

Comfortable padding and fit, not see-through except on the front where the design is meant to be slightly see-through. I would buy these again.

Very happy with these shorts. Fits as advertised and the padding was really thick (which I like). Super comfy when riding and they do not ride up at all.
