Great optics, suffers from light seepage though...
I am a big fan of Cacoon's amber--green mirrored polarized lenses. They really do help to enhance detail, and I much prefer them over gray lenses. And while the MX shape is very sleek, modern and sexy, it lets in too much light with my wide Ray Ban eyeglass frames, and allows too much reflection off of the face. I have instead gone with Cacoon's Aviator model, which is much more "sealed in" and has much less reflection onto the back of the lenses from my skin. However the Aviator model is much larger and goggle-like and not nearly as sleek as the MX style. I guess I chose function over style....

Great alternative to prescription sunglasses
Didn't want to buy prescription sunglasses & have to keep switching pairs & couldn't find a decent pair of clip on sunglasses that would work with my lenses & frames so I figured I'd give these a try. So far these have worked out great. They give good sun protection & even protect side vision. They're lightweight & very well made. I definitely recommend going to Cocoon's website & printing out their size guides & don't just rely on measurements. if I went with just measurements I would have wound up buying the wrong size. I used their guide & these fit my glasses perfectly. They are larger on your face than regular sunglasses but with the different styles they offer you should be able to find one that works for you.

Great Shades & Fraction of $$$ of Prescription Sunglasses/Frames
Just received these Style Line MX Cocoons, but don't have to wait to give them a great review. Bought these to replace my 1st pair lost on vacation last year. I really enjoyed my first pair, and these are even better with polarized lenses. What's to like: Light and fit comfortably over prescription eyeglasses. Clear lenses free from distortion rendering a crisp image through a clear lens- no fogginess or flare. Big enough to give a clear and open view without blindspots. Side panels and wrap-around frames block glare and wind. Tough plastic construction makes them durable and capable of being tossed around and squashed a bit without fear of damage. What's not to like: Not much. If you're a slave to fashion, while these don't look bad, they might not measure up to being haute couture. A bit clunky to fit over your glasses. Get the smallest size possible that fits your glasses. Go to Cocoons website for sizing instructions and dimensions.

Avoid the blue mirrored lenses
These are nice dark glasses good for wearing over prescription eyeglasses, especially for driving. They're a little more stylish than the classic old people goggles and almost look like real sunglasses. I originally ordered these ones with the blue mirrored lenses and the mirror coating on them got really scratched up quickly so I had the lenses replaced under warranty (I think for a small fee) and went with the plain black lenses and those have lasted much longer. The frames have been very durable and held up to lots of abuse.

Great Fit-Over Sunglasses
I have three pair of Cocoons, all Style Line MX but with different lenses for different purposes. My ophthalmologist recommended that I wear polarized anti-reflective sunglasses outdoors whenever I'm outside, even just to get the mail, due to two eye conditions. These fit the bill completely. I love the fact that the temples are highly adjustable by simple bending, to make them fit snugly over my ears. (My other pairs are non-polarized low-vision types, one for other uses, and they're just as nice.) These gray lenses (with blue anti-reflective coating) do not distort the colors of objects, unlike other lenses. Very pleased.

Perfect Eyeware
I have worn Cocoon "over glasses" sunglasses for a couple of years and found them to be just what I needed. My new pair of prescription glasses, however, is larger than the fit of the sunglasses I had been using, thus necessitating buying a new larger pair. I could not find the right size at retail, so tried Amazon. Following the advise of another reviewer I went to the Cocoons website and measured for correct style and fit, then back to Amazon for purchase. My only question then was the color of tint. I chose gray as that seemed the one to provide best filter without color distortion. Upon arrival, the glasses fit perfectly and the gray color gave me an optimal amount of sun protection. I have already used them in big. bright snow and brilliant sunshine and have no problems. Of note: the glasses come in a zippered case with short belt hook which will be great in the summer when hiking.

Overall, I am happy
Overall I am realty pleased with these glasses. They are well made, attractive and fit very well over my glasses. The only criticisms I have are that, despite using the size chart on the web site, they are a bit oversized. Also, the case that came with the glasses, while good quality, has a thick zipper that zips all the way around and the way the case is designed makes it difficult to get the glasses in and out of the case without the zipper rubbing against the glasses. I have to use great caution when putting the glasses in or taking them out of the case.

Love My Cocoons!
Cocoons are great for those of us who have prescription glasses. Between my husband and me we have owned several pairs. They have multiple sizes of the frames so you can get the smallest size to fit your glasses. (Go to the Cocoons web sit to figure out the perfect fit.) There are lots of choices for frames and lens color and they are easily adjustable. I was happy to find them on Amazon as you can save a few dollars by ordering them here rather than directly from the maker. Also, if the lenses get damaged, you can get replacements (though you will need to order them from Cocoons). The only reason why we have purchased additional ones is because we lost them or had new prescription glasses that needed another size.

Works as promised - covers the entirety of my eyeglasses ...
Works as promised - covers the entirety of my eyeglasses so I don't have to buy the expensive photogray lens. Plus, it allows me to read my GPS up close or look to the distance with clarity since I have my glasses on while protecting my vision since the polarizing filter was very soothing.I heard that exposure to harsh sunlight (specially here in the tropics where I'm using my cocoons) can aggravate cataracts and glaucoma (I have a genetic predisposition) so this is very helpful.
