Reliable and smooth
I've bought MANY of these pens. The ink is smooth, never stutters, and the color is rich (all colors, but I use blue the most). The price is reasonable and I find that they last a long time. I have two complaints: 1. the cap often cracks (I fix this with a bit of tape), a minor annoyance, and 2. The lower edge of the barrel has a sharp transition/edge. If my hand gets that low on the barrel, it is uncomfortable. I recently tried a couple of other brands and found the varsity to stop be superior in color, reliability, and smoothness. See photo for color comparison.

Cursive writers will love these.
These pens are a joy to write cursive with. I can now travel on business with fountain pens easily. Co-workers always comment on them. They make your writing appear elegant too. They glide effortlessly on the paper, don't leak and dry quickly,

Good value and a good fountain pen
I have a small collection of fountain pens that each cost many times more than this item, but this is the pen I reach for when writing a quick note. The ink flows smoothly and consistently, and it's fun and easy to write with!

My Favorite Go-To Pen Everyday for 5 Years
Everyday, I write personal notes, journal entries, thoughts, and reminders by hand which an essential part of how I work through the happenings of my life and look back to see my progress or plan for my future. This pen has been my constant companion throughout this process and I cannot find a replacement that feels as good, works as well, or saves me money like this product. Because I live a fast paced life always moving from one thing to the next, I appreciate that this fountain pen is durable, easy to use, comfortable, and ultimately disposible. The smooth flow of ink means you'll never have to redo a faded phrase or scratch the page w a dry tip. The richness of the blue ink gives your words a vibrancy that pops, and the self contained, simple, but tough packaging means no mess or fuss.

Nothing Better
I really wish I could find a non-disposable fountain pen I love as much as this one, but so far I can’t. It writes dark and wet (which I really prefer) and is completely reliable and beautiful on good thick paper. I use these pens every single day, and they are always a pleasure. They don’t last forever but they aren’t very expensive either.

Very smooth and beautifully blue
I first got Zebra Fuente disposable fountain pen in a box of many Zebra pens, and really liked them because they were extremely smooth, better than many of my expensive fountain pens. Then I looked into Pilot Varsity disposable fountain pens, because Pilot has is better known than Zebra in the fountain pen business.Indeed Pilot Varsity didn't disappoint. It was extremely smooth, just like Zebra Fuente. But Pilot's color looks brighter and more vivid while Zebra's color is slightly washed out after dried out. What's even better is that, this "disposable fountain pen" is actually refillable (I found a YouTube video on how to do it). So it's really good value for such high performance.Update: I think the Medium nib is a bit too thick for my taste (it's similar to a Jinhao's thickest nib, that is Medium among EF, F and M). Luckily the reverse writing on the Varsity is also very smooth and it's similar to a Fine nib.
