The Explorer’s Edition features all tracks from Egypt Station sessions, including 6 live studio recordings, as well as 4 live performances of Egypt Station tracks from Abbey Road, The Cavern Club, LIPA, and Paul’s iconic performance at Grand Central Station. Review: I love it - I already had Egypt Station, and it is one of my very favorite McCartney albums. I think the material, production, and performances are all among the best. I had the Target special edition, so I already hat "Get Started" and "Nothing for Free", both of which I think are excellent. I was unsure if I would buy this, until I heard "Frank Sinatra's Party." After one listen the song was stuck in my head. I love it. "62nd Street" is also very good. I think "Frank Sinatra's Party" alone is worth the price of admission. Review: Great bonus cuts - Absolutely a great Paul McCartney album to begin with, "Egypt Station" is only improved by the addition of a second disc off studio and live bonus cuts. The five bonus studio cuts are of particular interest (at least one of them - "Nothing for Free" - should've really been on the album... probably the remarkable "Get Started" too) and taken as a whole make for a terrific EP. The live tracks don't vary from the album versions all that much, though my least favorite album cut ("Fuh You") does benefit from the less-polished/produced sound when performed live. All that and improved album cover art, too!

This Is The Definitive Version of "Egypt Station"!
First, any version of this album is 5 Stars in my opinion - the original 16 track CD, Vinyl LP; cassette and the 18 track Target Deluxe version (released at the same time the original album was released in September 2018); the 2019 Traveller's Edition suitcase (only for collectors, in my opinion) and this latest and definitive Explorer's Edition. Is this album overmarketed by Capitol? Yes, it sure is. Why do I say The Explorer Edition is the definitive CD and Vinyl LP edition of this album? Because it contains the original album and the 2 extra tracks from the Target Deluxe Version ("Get Started" and "Nothing For Free"); plus the early 2019 single "Get Enough" (previously not available on CD or Vinyl LP until the Explorer Edition); a full length version of "Who Cares" (My favorite song on the album); 2 more studio songs not included on the original release ("Frank Sinatra's Party" and "Sixty Second Street") and live versions of all 4 new songs Sir Paul is performing in his set on the current leg of his "Freshen Up" Tour. In summary, if you are not a collector and chose to skip the suitcase Traveller's Edition, you get all the music released in all previous versions of "Egypt Station" plus all the bonus tracks included in the Traveller's Edition, without the collectible frills and cost - 8 more tracks - 26 tracks total - for around $20.00 and you get to hear the live songs without paying for a concert ticket. Enjoy whichever version(s) you have purchased and if you have held off on purchasing "Egypt Station", I recommend you get the Explorer Edition. Yes, it is Paul McCartney at ages 73 - 75, as it was recorded from January 2016 to February 2018 between legs of the "Freshen Up" Tour, but Paul McCartney at any age is in the superb class of unmatched performers which also includes The Beatles.

Outstanding album from Sir Paul!
Folks: This is some of the best bundle of McCartney tunes to come along in some time. The more I listen the more I like. Highly recommended for all McCartney fans, and for those who just want to hear some new music.

Very nice bonus tracks on Disc 2
This is a great McCartney album, and the 2nd disc contains nice bonus material. Well worth getting, especially if you bought Paul's UK CD singles with bonus tracks (back in the 80's and 90's).

One of Paul McCartney’s finest works.
This is a great album for any Paul McCartney fan, Beatles fan or anyone that enjoys music. Great songs you can’t get out of your head. There are songs that are meaningful and so that are just fun. Just when you think Paul McCartney’s music couldn’t get any better ... it does. Wow.

At 78 Sir Macca's creativity continues to flow. He is a genius at effortlessly combining 2-3-4 tunes/melodies in one song. He takes us between major minor keys with ease. On Pepper's he did this with Lennon's Day In The Life. Production superb. Not maybe, I am amazed. B. Flewin
